Military is responsible of this... because first Musharaf allowed this Indian Phetu Group... later on in Zardari Govt, they continue to bash Army and put all false blame on army without any evidence. Now in PML-N Govt, continuously blaming army without any evidence of all failure. Still not able to understand how such ANTI-STATE-MEDIA working in any country like this. Hard to believe.

Please note that there is a difference between criticizing the Army and being Anti-State. The Army is not the State, and holding it accountable is permissible, indeed the correct thing to do.

Not when it comes to Pakistan. My observation here tells me that criticizing the military set up is generally considered an act of treason by many in Pakistan. It is second only to criticizing God (blasphemy).

Not when it comes to Pakistan. My observation here tells me that criticizing the military set up is generally considered an act of treason by many in Pakistan. It is second only to criticizing God (blasphemy).

That is the result of decades of persistent brain-washing. It will take some time to cure, but the condition of the country will hasten that process.

nah not really....our Army and ISI have been criticized severely in past so many years especially after Mushy fiasco...i bet such institutes arent even critisized the same way in the US, where people are seen propagating the notion of Freedom of expression and speech the most!

"Guess" from their reporting style? No, it does not work that way. Either such a serious allegation is proven or it must be discredited as rumor and insinuation, likely at the behest of someone with ulterior motives. To not discredit such unsupported slander is simply wrong and must be condemned.

dude even a blind person would agree that GEO had been very unprofessional that day by constantly attacking DG-ISI for 8 long hours....it was very unethical on their part to blame/malign someone like this without any proof....its strongly against the Journalistic ethics...they are a big Media house working for quite some time....how can they do anything stupid like that? if it aint stopped today,tommorw other channels will follow it too....

What attack? Geo was reporting on a news story. The allegations were made not by Geo, but by the victim.

Please consider the following: Person A commits blasphemy. Person B reports it to the Police, describing what was said. Should Police charge Person A, Person B or both with the crime?

reporting the matter was completely under their control and job,the victim didnt force them....and there are ways and ethics of reporting....you cant just report anything and everything without considering what impact would it have later...

Geo follows PEMRA rules, and until a violation is shown to have occurred, they can do what they are supposed to do - report!
