All german soccer cite safety concerns regarding Turkey

The german clubs say that Turkey is highly unsecure and the political situation makes any support for this country impossible.

Gertjan Verbeek, trainer from Vfl Bochum said: "We don´t fly to turkey. We wont support someone like Erdogan with our money."

The austrian clubs also cancelled all planned trips to turkey and switched their destinations.

The clubs moved their camps to Spain and Italy. One club goes to Dubai.

Manager Holger Fach says that 50 european teams cancelled their trips to Turkey this year. Italy and Spain are 40% more expensive but secure and the money doesn´t support Erdogan there.

The only european team that did not cancel yet is the german team "FC Rot-Weiss-Erfurt". They still think about it, because being alone there makes no sense, when they have no sparring teams.

In Italy i can book 2 weeks Turkey all inclusive with flights in 4 star hotel for 350 € now.

Not that i would go there but its crazy how cheap you throw your product out.

Yeah and because of that Europe blocked any agreement for Visa Free travel and snubs turkey at evry aspect of diplomacy. Just two days ago EU agreed that no further talks are opened with turkey.

Talking about tourism,some friends of mine went there for two weeks and they said it was great. They didn't feel unsafe,everything went okay,there was a good police presence.
Countries like Turkey,France and others that have been hit by terrorism will of course see a decline,but once the situation will be better,that the tourists' trust is earned,they will come back. It's a normal trend.

We are having bad times now but this wont last forever either, i just wish those football clubs would condemn pkk terror too which targeted football fans last weekend but it seems they have a selective understanding for good and bad.
