but city cannot thrive without metro..

Punjab is doing a lot for education as well. Remember laptop scheme? Everyone was against it. Meanwhile in the west many students are shifting to laptops. Basically anything Punjab gov't do = bad.

@cb4 any news on KPK metro train? I heared they drop it, China doesn't want to give investment money to Imran backed gov't. So any news on metro bus or they can't do that either?

.
I'm just wondering, have they accounting for the volume of traffic in goods transport and many other private vehicles who will not take the Metros having to go on the same route with narrower roads?
Or perhaps that is just not done in Third world planning.

. .
If this flyover is just for Metro buses alone then this is not a good project for long term future. Buses are slow and people like to travel fast to reach offices.

KPK is going for Metro Bus in Peshawar and apparently they are blaming Saad Rafique for the delay

Sindh as usual doing nothing to revive Karachi's Circular Railway and just lost Japan's interest

Balochistan is seeking Punjab help for a Metro Bus in Quetta

Punjab is next going for Metro Bus in Multan and Faisalabad with own funds and Metro Train in Lahore with Chinese investment

Well top speed is 60km/h with the Bus and within the next 5-8 years it will be converted into Light Rail to deal with capacity and perhaps speed
