Yup. Something is big is definitely coming up and I wouldn't be too surprised the govt. is dissolved by the PM and new elections is called.

That Zardari did kick-backs kind of corruption in the 90s is almost a fact. But it is also a fact that the judiciary has single handedly targetted him while conveniently removing all kind of cases against the Sharif Brothers; some of those cases were of very serious nature.

This judiciary does partial justice and is just unjust. They even fancy the notion that they can overturn the 18th Amendment.

Why can't the judiciary be bad, corrupt, and destablizing now when they have history of such behavior, starting with Justice Munir case of the 50's? Have we forgotten the incident of the then Justice Rafiq Tarar taking a suitcase of money to Quetta to influence other judges? He was rewarded by NS to become no less than the President of Pakistan. That damned Mullah judge!

And I won't even start about Justice mullah Mushtaq's role in the hanging of ZAB.

yes by looking at how PPP is trying to provoke Judiciary and hence have coup upon itself to become innocent and prove as victim of army coup. This way Zardari is looking for some public sympathy above all entire media will side with him

True PPP is trying to save Zardari. But may I ask as to why the judiciary does not take up the Asghar Khan case of 1996 (the 'Mehran Gate' scandal)? There are many other instances where judges, generals, and non-PPP politicians have not found the long arm of this biased-judiciary. Can anyone really believe that the Chaudry and Sharif Brothers have not misused power and done corruption? Why are they so clean? They have been in power since 1977 for years.
As I said, partial justice is injustice. Same judges were supporting Musharraf's coup. Same judges prosecuting the Sharif Brothers. Same judges--when the wind changed direction, are following the public-mood.
In country where there is price-hike during the month of Ramazan, in a country where cricketers are routinely accused of match-fixing, in a country where people like Hamid Gul can publicly admit to illegality of the Mehran Gate scandal--and yet gets away with that--we see a judiciary hellbent on sending the NRO case of Zardari back to the Swiss Court while there are 8000+ other beneficiaries' of NRO.

I detect an agenda. A vile agenda. The same one which brought down ZAB. The same kind of people who call the Lal Masjid fanatics as 'innocent civilians'. We have been through this route before in Pakistani politics.

These judges should be held to account if for nothing else than to have supported the coup of Musharraf if they are so technically focused on the law. You know, there WERE a few judges who refused to accept Musharraf's coup and redesigned. Why not follow the Article 6 and see the meaning of 'abetting' the coup?

Mine is not a defence of Zardari. I would be happy if he AND many others who have benefited from corruption are taken to task. Until that happens I think this is not an impartial judiciary.

Nobody is saying those cases should not be taken but presenting those as an excuses by PPP Jiawals make no sense neither justify delaying cases against Zardari.

If u want to know the real feeling of it all ,read the opinion poll surveys , go out in the streets and meet people , ask them about this confrontation between Govt. and judiciary and people will heap praises on the Supreme court and curse the present rulers ... this argument of selected justice is not been bought by the general public , the only place shouting such is PPP.
PM has himself stated on a number of occassions about 'political reconciliation' (i-e political hypocrasy in my book) that his government will not make cases against NS , now if the Govt. doesn't present the cases against NS in the supreme court , how on earth will the case move forward ? ... get ur facts straight ...
