We will see what will be happening when Jokowi visited South Korea this late month of July. Defense industry according to Korean source will be discussed as well.

South Korean media reported that Indonesian President, Jokowi, will visit South Korea this month. This successful test flight is a bless for both nations cooperation.

Thanks bro, I have been waiting this moment since 2009 when I read in a newspaper that there is South Korean delegation visited our President, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, with proposal where South Korea is keen to have Indonesia as partner in KFX/IFX program.

There was time where Korean Aerospace which was during that time was not part of the developer bring their KFX-E design with just one engine, long debate, and AlhamduliLLAH double engine design made by ADD Korea and Indonesian Aerospace who get the upperhand and get selected. The C 103 design then refined into C 109 final design where KAI Korea and Lockheed Martin contributes as well as they join the program since 2016.

Then comes the drama Indonesia doesnt pay, but around 114 Indonesian design engineers were still in South Korea until the design phase is completed in late 2019 and they come back home in March 2020.

This is CDR meeting in September 2019 where detail design is completed. Double seat design is still working on in 2020 though, but Indonesian engineers doing their design work in Indonesia during 2020 since they leave Korea in March 2020.

Korea was once considered Indonesia engineer do not understand about the design of a jet fighter.
