After having an hourly long discussion with a senior contact at HIT. This sad news was revealed to me that the al-khalid 2 has been temporarily put on hold and right now mass production of Al khalid 1 will continue with upgrading.The Al-khalid 2 is becoming more costly to bear. Its survival depends upon the top brass sitting in GHQ

He informed me that don't be surprised if MBT 3000 is revealed as Al-khalid 2.

@Dazzler That's why they didn't revealed Al-Khalid II in IDEAS 2014. All the talks about 9 major upgrades downgraded to 6 and then it would be revealed in Ideas 2016, now the entire program is put on hold

Wrong news their was no AL KHALID II in first place their was AL KHALID 1 and it has those changes so he is wrong here

Their was no AK-2 the AL-KHALID was massively upgraded and now in production is known as AK-1 which will be soon revealed our dear member is misinformed here on this issue

You do know we sold 150 AKs to SA of the shelf hence mass production.
