Akinic Drone of Turkey gets its first export order

. . .
Surpising. Akinci is not a proven platform like TB-2s or even ANKAs. Wonder who ordered it?
I wish it was us, but realistically it seems difficult when we already have ordered TB-2 and agreement for ANKA as well.

Why do you wish it was us?

.
whose the costumer?
That is exactly the question.

Why do you wish it was us?

For this monstrous firepower

One guy claims it's Qatar. Which is most likely case in my opinion.

IMHO It will be more useful system as compared to TB-2 which is direct competitor to SH-II of Pakistan.

We as of now have no equivalent system available the option this system and weapon package it offer is better than any other in the Market including Chinese Drones currently operational in Pakistan.

It could be employed in Naval role, and could be use to support PAA operations as it will have AESA radar and many short to medium range standoff weapons in some scenarios it could could not only prove an alternative to Gunship but could provide limited close air support to ground troops

I don't know why we went for TB2. Our drone acquisitions make no sense

currently our doctrine and strategy for drone is under consideration and we are importing small batches of UAVs systems available to us to gain maximum exposure and experience both in terms of systems and their employment.

They make perfect sense. Drones aren't like fighters, there's not much risk is buying different drones from different manufacturers, for different branches of the military. They're cheap to buy, deploy, and replace.

Pakistan's armed forces also probably feel they need to quickly fill their inventory, so buying off the shelf products from other nations is a good quick way to fill that need, while continuing to develop and field your own domestic drones.

TB2s' success on the real battle fields against the Russian made armors, artillery, AD etc. is legendary, even when the enemy air space is being protected by the Russian, French and Indian made EW, radars etc.....

As against the terrorists, supported with the most advanced EW capabilities by the best the West can offer, to upset Turkey, TB2s hunt them like the rabbits by the eagles. They now fear even to go out of their rat holes to pee....
