His Imperial Majesty is Japan. Abe must listen to th voice of the Emperor. And the Emperor's Apology is a good sign.

@Nihonjin1051 How do you view the difference in statements, by HRH The Emperor and Abe ?

Abe knows that the Emperor is very partial towards China. The Emperor will gently twist Abe's arm, figuratively speaking , to apply a more softer tone with China.

So yea, if His Imperial Majesty has spoken...even the right wing Dare not usher a word against. Many of the right wing will probably shut up for fear of angering the Emperor now that they know His position.....

Emperor has a soft spot for China. He was first Emperor to visit China in 1992. The Chinese side invited him despite the past war to improve Japanese ties (although it was more likely to de isolate China from 1989 protest).

His Imperial Majesty's interest in China seems to be passed onto the Crown Prince, Imperial Highness Prince Naruhito. Imperial Highness Prince Naruhito has regularly rebuked right wing ultranationalism as well as proponents of wartime revisionism in the right wing. Tho the Uyoku Dantai (Right Wing) have not responded to the remarks of Imperial Highness Prince Naruhito, knowing full well that he will ascend the Imperial Throne when the Emperor passes this world.

One can expect that Japan under the Era of Naruhito would be more positivist and cooperative with China. One thing is also evident is that Imperial Highness Prince Naruhito is not too particular with the US military bases in Japan. So, we will see how his rule will mean translate for Japan's policies in real-time.

Correct. The Emperor has also visited not just China, but also South Korea in attempts to bring understanding of Japan's rule of Korea during the Colonial Epoch. Imperial Majesty has relatively maintained continuity of his late father, The Showa Emperor in regards to the regret and remorse of Japan's war time activities in Asia.

JAPAN visits China's Great Wall.

Sooner or later US will be kicked out, the scepter has been in our hands. However, keeping a strained relation with Japan is useful for us. The decision of somewhat inbred emperor is nothing about that anyway.
