SUKKUR: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Khursheed Shah have reached consensus on the appointment of Chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB).
Speaking to reporters here, Shah said consensus had been reached over the name of Chaudhry Qamar Zaman for NAB Chairman. The opposition leader told reporters that Prime Minister Sharif had telephoned him on Tuesday for consultation.
Shah added that he had also spoken to PTI leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi and MQM leader Farooq Sattar about the appointment.
Prime Minister Sharif and Khursheed Shah had held five meetings over the appointment of Chairman NAB. Chaudhry Qamar Zaman was serving as the Interior Secretary prior to being announced as the Chairman NAB.
