Featured Afghanistan - Pakistan are United for Peace

.
Next week Pakistan and Afghanistan will sign a major trade deal during the visit of of Imran Khan to Kabul.

.
Pakistans only friends in Afghanistan are afghan taliban. I dont agree with their interpretation of religion but facts are facts.

Sadly, taliban do not represent the majority of Afghanistan, so Pakistan has no choice but to support force.

This peace and brotherhood doesnot exist and is only one sided by Pakistan sadly.

Pakistan must upologetically suppport afghan taliban like iran supports hizbullah to protect its interests.

Afghans are solely responsible for instability by rejecting fellow muslim Pakistanis otherwise a merger or a confederarion was possible.

You know nothing about Afghanistan and its ground realities. Afghanistan is a multi ethnic society with 45℅ pashtuns, who aee in majority. Taliban mostly represent the majority pashtuns though they also have tajik and uzbeks. Taliban would never have been abke to fight NATO for 20 years if they didnt have support of majority. It was this support that enabled them to hide and arrange supplies. Apart from taliban, Pakistan now also enjoy good relations with turkmen and uzbeks.

Thanks for ur reply.

Facts are facts.

Taliban are our friends but they do not represent the majority. Tajiks, hazaras, turkmen and uzbeks and others combined together constitute a majority and are not pro Pakistan. Some pashtuns sections are also not with Taliban. Taliban are stronger in southern and patches of northern Afghanistan, not all.

Taliban are like Viet cong who had support of many players for different reasons even russians paid them to hunt Nato. Viet cong managed to take over all of vietnam, but in Afghanistan its very hard for Taliban to take over the entire country as the country is twice the size of vietnam and terrain is much harder.

Ground reality is no one group can control Afghanistan. Iran, Russia, US, india and Pakistan all have spheres of influence. That is why even Pakistan is arranging a broad based govt.

Afghanistan and its people have always been anti Pakistan until the arrival of Taliban who were actually brought up inside Pakistan.

Pakistan must continue to support them and hope they get as much territory as possible under their control. This all Afghan are brothers mentality will and is costing Pakistan.

Afghans have chosen this fate themselves by siding with India. They could have been Pakistan's nepal if not a union with Pakistan, but they chose hindutva india.

Thanks.

Ur welcome bro.
Pashtuns are 45℅ and all other ethnicities combined would be 55℅, that includes, uzbek, tajik, hazara, tukmen, kyrgyz, iranic, baloch, pamiris, kochi, farsiwan, wakhi etc etc... You can clearly see pashtuns though slightly below 50℅, dominate Afghanistan. Within pashtuns, more than 80℅ sympathize with taliban and its not just pashtuns, turkmen, uzbek and even tajiks have support for taliban. Afghanistan is a highly divided country in terms of ethnicities and most hate each other. Before the taliban, the mujahideen and warlords could not unite and hence kept fighting. Taliban were the only force to almost capture all of Afghanistan and unite major areas. Before 911, taliban controlled 90℅ of the area and had the US not invaded, they would have taken it all in a matter of months, remember the northern alliance chief, ahmed shah masoud was killed days before 911.
Taliban are an indigenous movement and upon realizing their potential and support of majority, Pakistan supported them, in order to bring peace. Post soviet, Pakistan have always wanted peace because its in our interest, but the warlords even after agreeing to peace in the khana kaaba, came back n fought. Pakistan had tried hard to bring peace after soviet fall but it was impossible and in the end Pakistan backed taliban. Its the reason the others hate Pakistan and support india but Pakistan is no fool and supported taliban for a reason. Apart from ethnicities, Afghanistan is divided on religious lines as well, there are ex commies and liberals, who hate Pakistan for supporting taliban, they include pashtuns too.
I think in all this mess, Pakistan have done well n always thought of long term, instead of short term like india did. The current setup is not feasible because it does not represent majority. Even the US realized it and hence the peace negotiations and offer taliban power sharing. Pakistan have also made good relations with Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan thanks to china and CPEC, which in turn improved our relations with those ethnicities residing in Afghanistan. This gives Pakistan a very good say and hence a peace broker. Pakistan is now trying to include major ethnicities in power sharing with taliban to have a stable and feasible govt that is allied with Pakistan.
We should also not forget decades of indian funding and propaganda in Afghanistan against Pakistan, which we see on social media but i think those are still minorities. Pakistan is doing well and soon this hatred will fade away along with indian influence. The only smart thing we need to do is to not increase the hatred and keep a cool head.
