By KHAAMA PRESS - Wed Jul 01 2015, 4:14 pm
Pakistan once again violated border in Afghanistan’s Paktika province, prompting deadly clash with Afghan forces.
Officials say eight Pakistani soldiers were killed in a clash with Afghan forces during a clash erupted after border violation in Paktika province.
Spokesmen from the three security agencies of Afghanistan, Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Defense and National Directorate of Security (NDS) told a news conference in Kabul that the skirmish occurred in Barmal District late last night.
Sediq Sediqi, spokesman for the Ministry of Interior said that Pakistani soldiers wanted to establish military installations inside Afghanistan but Afghan forces attempted to prevent them from border violation.
He added that the dispute was followed by a deadly clash between the two sides leaving eight Pakistani soldiers killed.
The spokesman said that one Afghan soldier also embraced martyrdom while defending his country.
This is not the first time Pakistan tried to violate border and occupy Afghan land. In several occasions they have tried to establish their military installations inside Afghan territory but Afghan forces have prevented them.
