Afghanistan Beat Pakistan In Asian Games Cricket Semi-Final

Afghanistan has knocked favorites Pakistan out of the cricket competition at the Asian Games, recording a shock 22-run victory in the semifinals.

Led by a brilliant allround performance from Karim Khan Sadeq, Afghanistan restricted Pakistan to 103-7 from its 20 overs after posting a decent 125-8 on Thursday.

Sadeq made a useful 19 runs as an opener and the offspinner later dented Pakistan run chase with twin strike in the 14th over.

Sri Lanka will play Bangladesh in today second semi-finals.

Shocking as it is, men's team is out while the women got gold.

But despite the loss, i rather feel happy for the Afghan team. This will go miles in helping Afghans hopefully, something to cheer. And, they were being coached by a Pakistani, Rashid Latif.

All in all, not a good day for Pakistan at Asian games. We lost in Kabbadi semi-final to Iran, got a bronze. Hopefully, we can get it right in the Hockey final.

they have a shane warne in their midst
even though track was asisting spinners it was fantastic bowling by afg
i've never heard of anyone who played for pakistan except for the opener latif
