What is important is for the Taliban to gather all of its forces under its command. No unit should act independently but report immediately to the central command.

under those circumstances, some saudi supported taliban elements attackd Iranian interests. Today Iran is the undisputed king of the region. It has a ready made afghan loyal army by the name of fatemyoon.

and the taliban is extremely weak, and the last thing they want is to piss Iran off. I doubt the taliban is going to be so dumb to attack Iran. and if they do try, Iran is more then ready to teach them a devastating lesson this time around...

Iran has certainly come to some kind of understanding with the taliban, while keeping a plan B/C ready incase.. Iran is definitly going to carve some sort of zone of influence out of western afghanistan to protect its interets if i were to guess...

Stop exaggerating when did Taliban in collision with saudi wanted to attack Iran? Taliban is local militias and enjoying the undisputed support of Pakistan don't assume they are weak prey. They defeated the Soviet and The US..

Taliban seek only it's territories within afghanistan but don't assume you can carve anything but Pakistan will carve big junk out of you..

The respected taliban never shied away from a conflict and won't do so for any provocator.. Iran is not even in that of strong position herself they will tread carefully... But Taliban is not after them or any neighbourly countries but there are major forces at play here behind the scenes

I think that was the mission of general Soleimani when he met leaders of Taliban in Afghanistan. General Qaani is an Afghanistan specialist. I am sure that we can have them in our ranks against the real enemy of Islam and Muslims.

Btw, Afghan Army similar to Reza shah Army is designed to protect interests of Foreign powers not Afghan people. They will collapse with no doubt. Moreover plenty of Afghan soldiers are already joining Taliban in numbers. We can forget about the past and plan for offensive against Israelis.

Mass mobilize Taliban towards Israel? You guys doing drugs?! Taliban doesn’t answer to Iran or anyone, Iran has cordial relations with the Taliban to ensure its interests are not threatened, that’s it. Taliban would sooner suicide attack Iran than fight Israel especially when they have no appropriate equipment. Forget these ideas.

I think he’s referring to the attack on Iranian diplomats in Herat regarding the collusion and attacking Iran. Iran was close to attacking Herat by land as a result in 1998 I believe.

It was not due to any collision that incident.. The saudis were never pro-talibs I can go in depth with this but it will only be off-topic..

Game has just started so lets not count our chickens yet. One must not forget other regional and far away players with deep pockets and resources and underestimate their capabilities and hit by some nasty surprise. Our foreign office is not the best in town for running their affairs and they have cocked up things before as well. We are in the driving seat so far but the Afghans are not known for the reliability considering how many factions they have got internally. Pakistan must play the hard ball and regardless of the cost must keep the India out of that region or having any foot hold as our peace and prosperity depends on the positive outcome in Afghanistan. Pakistan must make aware to the Iran our red lines and we should take care of their concerns and that will be win win for both
