Pakistani helicopter crash-lands in Logar, 6 on board captured
By KHAAMA PRESS - Thu Aug 04 2016, 4:13 pm

A Pakistani helicopter has crash-landed in the central Logar province of Afghanistan earlier today, the provincial council officials said.

A member of the provincial council Dr. Abdul Wali Wakil said the helicopter crash-landed in the restive Azra district and all 6 on board were captured by the militants.

Provincial governor’s spokesman Salim Saleh has confirmed to RFE that the helicopter belonged to Pakistan and crash-landed in Mati area of Azra district.

He said the helicopter caught fire as soon as it crash-landed but the passengers on board did not suffer any casualties.

A local resident has said the helicopter was set on fire by the Taliban militants as soon as it made an emergency landing.

The Taliban militants group has not commented regarding the report so far.

Taliban militants and insurgents belonging to the other militant groups are actively operating in a number of the remote districts of Logar province.

However it is yet not clear on what purposes the Pakistani helicopter was hovering over the Afghan air space in central Logar province which is located close to capital Kabul.

.
Some other rumored that Taliban captured them in the district which is close to Kabul. Doesn't carry weight.

. .
nothing happened, afghans on twitter were celebrating and were saying it was carrying supplies for talibs and was destroyed by the forces.
bitch ana doesn't even know how to use aa.

Okay news just in.
The heli was of Cm punjab. It had 1 Russians and 6 Pakistani Crew were onboard was going for repair to Russia/Kazakhstan.The crew is being held hostage by the locals.
Sadly the heli was set on fire by the babons.

it had taken permission to fly over AFG.

An Aircraft that is in need of repairs is flown? Would it be easier and safer to dismantle it and placed in a cargo plane and then sent?

Loss of hull and capture - not good

Correction that I see as 6 Pakistanis and 1 Russian.

It was reported few days back that money is allotted for repair work that would be done in Russia, so makes sense. Seems like technical fault forced to land in emergency and can't see any hit or shot down.

While looking at the situation, if Afghan government failed to recover and handover the hostages in due time, they will face a big time hit from Pakistan for the same and Russia might join as well as Government of Pakistan would be in contact.

@ranjeet , Bhai tu kamaal hai ... !

Log kah rahe the 5 russian aur 1 Pakistani .. yahan to 1 Russian aur 5 Pakistani hain ..
