I guess it is official:
1. Pakistan did threaten to send troops into Afghanistan last week
2. Now Afghan National Police General Abdur Raziq (he actually doesn't even hold a high school diploma but I guess in Afghanistan you don't need one to become a general -- lol) has been leading cross border raids into Pakistan (prior to being a General, Abdur Raziq was a petty drug smuggler)

Article here, excerpts below:

KABUL, Afghanistan — The police chief in Afghanistan’s southern province of Kandahar has ordered his forces to attack Pakistani-based Tehrik-i-Taliban insurgents inside Pakistan, adding fuel to rising tensions along the countries’ shared border.

...

Last week, Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif threatened to send Pakistani troops into Afghan territory to kill or capture terrorist leaders responsible for the bloody attack Dec. 16 on a Pakistani military school. The massacre at the Army Public School and College in Peshawar, in which 149 people perished, was the deadliest terrorist attack in the country’s history.

...

Since taking control of the restive province in southern Afghanistan, Raziq has faced multiple accusations of leading unsanctioned cross-border raids into Pakistan.

Why is this a bad thing? How does it matter whether American Drones, Afghan Army or the Pakistani Army kills TTP, as long as TTP is being killed, no one should have any problems with it :undecided:

.
This shows the immaturity of afghan commander. I am really disappointed with this immature statements. Just tell me how can we defeat terrorists if we keep on pointing, blaming and threatening each others?
They should first finish and kill fazulluah which is being flourish in their own land. Our army is doing an operation against these terrorists but we are not getting the same support from other side of the border

.
Hey man talk to the guy who proposed this not me -- I was just extending his thinking.

We're talking about a principle here right -- anybody can cross borders to do what they think is right?

If we were talking about principle, you could have chosen a better comparison to make a point..... But the point here is you havent understood what @Roybot was trying to say...... His point was simple, Both want TTP scums to be killed and what difference it makes if it is done by a drone or by a sniper......

Then they should also allow us to station our army in afghanistan to hunt down those who operate from their land against our country

Oh please -- so India would tolerate insurgents on its soil being targeted by ISI operatives?

Well at no point of time i was agreeing or disagreeing on the point made by Roy, he is capable of defending himself.... Now why was i quoted that post, just because you mentioned Modi (the Prime Minister of India ) in the same line of TTP, Now you will feel the same way if i say tomorrow Taliban come to power in afgan and compare obama with radio mulla .... Probably you will understand then.....

Modi was denied a visa by US, true, and the same US gave a red carpet reception to him right???? That speaks volume of both Modi and US administration (But then that is a different subject and should not be discussed in this thread)

the Roy-whatever's point was childish -- at least one false example with a lesser false example. Was Modi denied a visa or something by the US? Oh and weren't perpetrators of Holocaust hunted by Israel -- Modi's portrait does hang in a Holocaust museum (somewhere in California I think?)

How was it childish? If Pakistan Army can go to Afghanistan in hot pursuit, the Afghan army too can go into FATA to do the same?

And nice going, derail your own thread by bringing totally irrelevant Modi into all this :cheesy:

Why not do a swap deal with them? Give them Haqqani and Mullah Omar and take Fazlullah and Khorasani in return?

It will be better if both of us respect each others borders and eradicate those elements with in a country which causes harm to each other.:agree:

oh wow, we were hesitating and they didnt give it a second though, wow just wow

Well that's the ideal scenario, but it hasn't happened all these years, and I don't see it happening any time soon. Infact I reckon the very reason TTP was formed by its "backers" was to get Pakistan to the negotiating table and give up its support to the Afghan Taliban elements.
