Afghan Army Officer Arrested From Taxila, Pakistan

TAXILA (Staff Report) – An Afghan National Army officer has been held on suspicion of spying inside Pakistan, officials said on Friday.

Media reports suggested that ANA officer Noor Agha had been disguising himself as a vegetable seller when he was arrested by the security agencies.

The arrested Afghan operative had been residing in Mashriqabad area of Taxila.

He has been shifted to an undisclosed location for further interrogation.

This is not the first arrest of a serving Afghan army officer.

Earlier, on 26 May security agencies have arrested six militants belonging to Afghanistan’s intelligence agency who were involved in various acts of terrorism on Pakistani soil.

They were planted by Afghan intelligence agency National Directorate of Security and Indian intelligence RAW and confessed to killing more than 40 Pakistanis.

Earlier, in April an officer of the Afghan intelligence agency was arrested inside Pakistani territory near Chaman border crossing in Balochistan.

Seriously, whats with these Afghan spies, officers getting arrested. When is there going to be any consequences for spies in Pakistan? I have been telling everyone that Pakistani leaders are their nation's worst enemies but its not like this wise population needs any advice.

Afghan cop kidnaps four Pakistanis for ransom, releases 2

PARACHINAR: An influential Afghan police official ‘kidnapped’ four Pakistanis, including a lady doctor, after his brother was killed in the recent clashes between the security forces of Pakistan and Afghanistan at Torkham, sources said on Wednesday.

The sources said the Afghan cop, Sadi Khan, released two of the kidnapped persons including the lady doctor after he was paid Rs5 million as ransom.The sources added that the Afghan police official had kidnapped the three Pakistanis, including Dr Sajida, Islam Gul and Hidayat Khan, from a hospital in Shehr-e-Nau town in Afghanistan’s Khost province bordering Kurram Agency.

The sources said Farooq, the brother of Dr Sajida, was also kidnapped by the same cop when he went to Afghanistan to resolve the issue.According to the sources, Sadi Khan demanded Rs100 million for their release. However, he freed the lady doctor and her brother after getting Rs5 million.The Afghan cop is demanding Rs8 million for the release of the remaining two Pakistanis, Islam Gul and Hidayat Khan.
