"U.S. President Donald Trump's CIA director nominee Gina Haspel knows how to speak Turkish and a number of other languages, according to information recently declassified by the agency.

Expected to be the first female CIA chief after a Senate vote, Haspel "had some fluency in Spanish and French prior to joining CIA" and learned Turkish and Russian on the job, the agency said in a career timeline released May 1.

She reportedly learned Turkish in 2000 while working as a deputy station chief in Ankara.

Haspel's 33-year-old intelligence career started in 1985, when she began working as an officer in the Directorate of Operations.

There are very few details about her professional career and personal life, and the CIA noted that her "entire career" in the intelligence agency was classified.

The declassified details about her career do not include over 30 short-term temporary duty ("TDY") assignments

While supporters praise the incoming CIA director, critics claim she took part in the spy agency's harsh interrogation of terror subjects. For instance, the American Civil Liberties Union urged her disqualification for "being a part of the CIA's darkest chapters."."

Evil woman of the worst kind. Don't know how she can sleep at night knowing all the bad things she is accountable for. Can you imagine in meetings how her colleagues would view her as they recount in their minds the torture and crimes she was associated with? Another genre of CIA hereditary torturers elevated to commit more crime?

you probably didn't know much about what CIA do aside from the CIA from TV.

CIA, as a matter of fact, don't really do anything, they are a "Face" organisation that you associated with when you are talking about "intelligence" and "espionage"

Think about it, if you know there are such organisation exist with an actual address, would you think they will be effective to collect intelligence, onshore or overseas, covertly?

Real intelligence work are from some ghost group (mostly highly trained Special Force/Special Service agent) and they collect information thru a group of network that nobody is going to acknowledge worldwide. Now that is an intelligence agency for you.

And I am already saying too much.
