A Taiwan Crisis May Mark the End of the American Empire

What do you think would happen to the world economy when a chipmaker like Taiwan's TSMC just goes offline because their workers are busy dealing with a full scale war? No more (reliable) chips for western cars, computers, laptops, phones, *refrigerators* and many other household appliances. Our populations would be forced to support Taiwanese freedom from "governance" by Beijing. We've seen how the Chinese do that with Tibet, Hong Kong, and Xinjiang.

SO JUST LOSING TAIWANESE INDUSTRIAL OUTPUT ALONE, WOULD CALL IN FORCES THAT THANKFULLY CURRENTLY STILL REMAIN HIDDEN. UNLIKE YOU, WE DON'T BOAST ABOUT OUR MILITARY'S PROWESS. WE PRAY WE DON'T HAVE TO FACE THE DAY WHERE WE PROVE OUR SUPERIORITY IN TERMS OF STRENGTH AND STAMINA, BUT WE'RE ALWAYS MAKING SURE WE'RE READY FOR THAT DAY.

However, and i'm very grateful for this, these hidden forces *are* conveyed to each other during diplomatic confrontations.

When i read up on the nuclear first use policies on wikipedia, i read that China has as recently as 2011 re-confirmed that they have a no-first-use policy.

The US however, does not. Not in the case of a conventional attack on their homeland, OR on their allies.

So i recommend against sinking a US carrier that is involved in the defense of Taiwain.
