US “deep state” operative Michael Rubin’s recent fearmongering in “The National Interest” about how CPEC will supposedly facilitate the spread of COVID-19 throughout Pakistan is bound to fail because he lacks any credibility as an objective observer due to his professional credentials and thus simply resorts to regurgitating standard talking points aimed against their strategic partnership.

The “Deep State” Speaks
Indian media picked up the recent piece penned by US “deep state” operative Michael Rubin for the influential American foreign affairs magazine “The National Interest” fearmongering about how CPEC will supposedly facilitate the spread of COVID-19 throughout the global pivot state of Pakistan.

Rubin’s professional credentials debunk the impression that unaware readers might have of him supposedly being an objective observer since this former Pentagon official’s storied career as related by the neoconservative “American Enterprise Institution” that presently employs him proves that he’s been deeply embedded in “deep state” operations for decades.

As such, he accordingly has an agenda, which in this case has been to regurgitate standard talking points in the hopes of manipulating perceptions in his home country and abroad about the future of the Chinese-Pakistani Strategic Partnership.

Titled “Is Pakistan Nothing More than a Colony of China?”, Rubin’s article immediately includes an extremely deceptive lead-in sentence which misportrays his personal speculation as a matter of fact by asserting that “Pakistanis may soon die en masse for China’s interests, and the Pakistani government may allow it to happen.”

He then proceeds to briefly reviewing the history of American-Pakistani relations, concluding that they’ve always been fair-weather friends of one another, but spending more time talking about the US’ perceived grievances in that partnership than Pakistan’s in order to obviously provoke an emotional reaction from his American readers.

Philippines announced 11 weeks lockdown, NZ are almost cleared of this virus because they had strict lockdown, Malaysia had almost 2 months lockdown and they still havent fully opened which helped contain this virus, China had a strict lockdown in Wuhan which helped tremendously and even their health authority just said its too early to relax.

the deaths you are seeing are not as much as you thought they would be.
The suspected corona deaths have blurred the real fatality rate.
The actual fatality rate is way less than it was thought to be
only 1-2 in affected 1000 unlike previous figures of 3 off 100(WHO).

Sweden has 3,313 death out of 27,272 confirmed cases. High mortality rate, low density, and small population, it is certainly a poor example for others to emulate.

They have millions of other asymptotic cases.The serological tests have proven it..so the cases are are definitely more than 27,272 ..
Secondly compare the deaths rate to places like belgium , holland and switcerland which have similar populations and went into a clockdown but have a similar deaths rate.

Holland has 7 million more people than sweden and and 5500 deaths compared to 3300 deaths of sweden.. so how is lockdown helping them?

I hardly see that as a success, certainly nothing that could be replicated in either Pakistan or Turkey.

I dont think you are in position to tell us what we can do and what we cant..

If you think Pakistan and Turkey's population density and medical facilities, hospital beds per populations are on par with that of Sweden, then go right ahead and do whatever you want. I could care less. But if you are trying to convince everyone that other country can follow Sweden's model without massive death, then you are only kidding yourself.

And no, Holland's "lockdown" is not far from what's done in Sweden.
