It is s a futuristic design for the stealth Corvette presented by the French company CMN. The first appearance of the design was at the Euro Naval exhibition in Paris in 2014 with a top speed of 28 knots, an operating range of 5000 miles at the speed of 14 knots or 7000 miles at a speed of 12 knots.

The C Sword 90 stealth corvette is designed to feature a stealthy hull with sloped surface and highly-integrated equipment. The vessel's round bilge shaped hull is made of steel, while the superstructure is made of steel/aluminium. The vessel can accommodate 65 crew members and can be fitted with 20 additional berths. It will be classified by Bureau Veritas (BV).

The corvette will have an overall length of 95m, overall beam of 15.7m, and maximum draught of 4m. The length and beam of the vessel at waterline will be 92m and 12.7m respectively.

The vessel will feature an extensive sensor package with electro-optronic surveillance and tracking system that can be used for ISR missions. The naval radar with four fixed array panels will ensure continuous 360° coverage over the sea and air. The corvette will also be equipped with fire control radar, radar electronic support measures (RESM), Communications Electronic Support Measures (CESM), and an Integrated Bridge Control System (IBCS). The onboard sensors will be interfaced with the integrated naval communications system and IBCS aboard the vessel.

The C Sword 90 corvette can be deployed in deterrent missions, coastal and offshore defence, anti-submarine warfare (ASW), anti-surface warfare (ASuW) and anti-air warfare missions.

The vessel is designed as a compact and multirole craft that can operate in high intensity war situations while meeting the requirements of modern day naval forces. It can be used in multiple missions including coastal and seaward Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance (ISR), electronic warfare tasks, scouting, and ground operations support.

The corvette can be armed with one 76mm or 57mm gun mounted at the forward bow deck. Two remotely controlled 20mm or 30mm guns are placed on port and starboard side. The vessel will also be equipped with eight MM40 Exocet anti-ship missiles and 16 vertically-launched anti-air missiles.

Two short-range air defence missiles on the deck will further enhance the protection against aerial threats. The two triple-tube torpedo launchers will allow the vessel to strike enemy submarines.

The vessel will be fitted with a decoy launching system for deceiving incoming anti-ship missiles and torpedoes. It will also integrate a hull mounted sonar and a towed sonar for conducting anti-submarine warfare (ASW) operations.

The C Sword 90 will feature a Level 1 Class 3 aft heli-deck supporting a 10t-class helicopter during day and night missions.

what is the price tag ?
No Idea, it is a concept..Might depend on the tonnage too..but for sure a bit expensive like most French weapon systems.. I must admit that it is a very advanced and potent stealth warship though..

. .
The electronic means such as weapons are managed by a combat system, with a Central Operations may include a dozen multi-functional consoles. Highly automated, the electronic suite also has a platform management system contributing to the reduction of the crew, which is only 65 sailors.

Multi-missions and built for high intensity combat
The main tasks of the Sword C 90 are the Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR), the deterrent operations surface target engagement, air and underwater and support for Special Forces operations ashore. The ship is inter-operable and can integrate a naval force to fight anti-surface or anti-submarine missions.

Designed for high intensity warfare, the new flagship of CMN can also intervene on the high seas in coastal areas. Fast and with a high degree of autonomy, it has an endurance of 7000 miles at 12 knots (or 5,000 miles at 14 knots) with a top sprinting speed of 28 knots. The corvette, although compact, has very powerful armament enabling it to deal with any threat, including submerged threats. The ASM means are particularly developed, with a hull sonar but also the opportunity to mount a towed sonar, the corvette can, depending on customer choice, integrate equipment from different electronics as Thales and Atlas Elektronik.

Very powerful weapons
The armament includes eight anti-ship missiles, such as Exocet MM40 Block3, a surface-to-air vertical launch system (16 cells for VL Mica type missiles), two surface-to-air systems at very short range type Simbad RC, two guns remotely operated from 20 to 30mm, and six torpedo tubes in two triple launchers. Then there are decoy launchers, the recommended system being SYLENA Mk2 Lacroix, which offers both an anti-missile protection or infrared radar guidance but also protection against electro-acoustic torpedoes.

MM-40 Block III Exocet SSM. It has an improved range—in excess of 180 kilometres (97 nautical miles)—through the use of a turbojet engine, and includes four air intakes to provide a continuous airflow to the power plant during high-G manoeuvers.

Relating to aeronautical facilities, the platform can accommodate a 10 ton helicopter, and has a lift to a small hangar capable of housing two aerial drones.

Dedicated to control of exclusive economic zones and perfectly adapted to littoral action, the Sword C 90 can be used for intelligence missions with a full range of electronic warfare (R-ESM, C-ESM) supplementing its surveillance equipment, be it the main radar or electro-optical system which also serves as fire control radar.

Special forces
CMN has also designed its new corvette for the projection of special forces, helicopters, speed boats or underwater vehicles. The crew quarters can accommodate 20 commandos in addition to the crew, and the two niches, located on each side can accommodate two large 11-meter RHIB (and or surface drones). These locations can also be used for the implementation of surface drones and even underwater drones. The modular design of the platform also allows recovery premises to include a hangar able to accommodate a 10 tonne helicopter.

csword90_mission1.png

Sword C90 finally comprises, in the stern area, a modular space which accommodates two 20-foot containers. This configuration allows to adapt the capacity of the rear structure according to missions. This modular space can, for example, welcome the towed sonar to strengthen anti-submarine corvette capabilities.

Looks awesome. The bow looks very Zumwalty. They should add a stealthy helo to it also instead of the NH90.
