Bangladeshi people are brainwashed into believing 3 million Bangladeshis were killed in 265 days.

3,000,000 claimed deaths / 265 days = 11,320 deaths daily

That would mean 265 mass graves with at least 11,320 dead bodies.

How many and where exactly are these mass graves with at least 11,320 dead bodies in them?

The figure is wrong, any Bangladeshi with interest in history knows that. The 3 million figure comes from a poor translation job during one of Bangabandhu's speeches at an international forum. He meant to translate "teen lakh" to English.

The figure is irrelevant. It doesn't matter whether the number is 30K or 300K.
The truth is West Pakistani leaders and PA messed up.
Whether Pakistan admits it or denies it has no material impact on Bangladesh of today.

I think owing to increasing tensions, there should have been a plebiscite and if begalis wanted a separate country, they should have been given.
Its a mistake on part of Pakistani establishment at the time. Its not feasible to control an eastern portion thousands of kms away with an enemy airspace in between. Its only possible with free will and if they detected bengalis want to separate, they should have been given a fair referendum.
Bangladesh was going to separate anyway, but this way, we would still be allied and would have good relations.

- US and allied military deaths: 282,000
- PAVN/VC military deaths: 444,000
- Civilian deaths (North and South Vietnam): 627,000
- Total deaths: 1,353,000

Ask anyone from BD in the PDF to name a few among his acquaintances who were killed, they may not be able to answer. They cannot show also the graveyards. There are some graves in some villages, but it is no more than 2, 5, 10 or 20 in number. In my case, two were killed whom I knew and were killed by the Biharis. One is in Mirpur and another in Rajbari.

Even a 50,000 killed is a very large figure. It is two stadium-full of people. Mujib was told to claim 3 Lakh in the London Press Conference and he uttered 3 million. Currently, we know what is a Lakh and what is a million, however, it is still difficult to understand a Billion. In those days, we were unfamiliar with the difference between a Lakh and a Million. So, Mujib told in English 3 million killed when his intention was to say 3 Lakh.

Mujib tried to get the number of actual killing, but abandoned it when his administration could not collect even 20,000 names. Afterwards, PM Begum Zia wanted to make a survey in all the villages and Mahallas to compile the list of Martyrs. But, Hasina/BAL started street agitation saying it unnecessary because Mujib's figure is the absolute truth. So, Khaleda had to stop.

Actually it is NOT irrelevant BECAUSE by making up fake death figure for last 50 years, awami league and its indian master greatly undermined significance of history of 1971. Not to mention gave Bangladesh and its history a fake label.

Yes. Most of those fought on our side belonged to the leftist parties like Bhashani NAP and BAL stole the credits. BAL leaders' only contributions were to watch Kolkata/Bombay movies while in exile. They formed also a Mujib Bahini that did not participate in fighting, but did many heinous things after 16 December 1971.

They formed also a Mujib Bahini that did not participate in fighting, but did many heinous things after 16 December 1971.

The atrocities on Biharis in March were also committed by BAL cadres. Instead of rounding up these criminals, the boneheaded PA leadership started an indiscriminate massacre in Dhaka on 25 March which led to the war. Both PA and BAL should admit to their faults.

Both BAL and PA establishments were suffering from the syndrome of WE vs THEY. However, in the case of BAL it was constituted by civilian people. On the other hand, it was the govt PA troops that indiscriminately killed in Dhaka to show their stupid prowess.

There is a gulf of difference in these two establishments. If 10,000 people were not killed every day of the war, at least 10,000 innocent people were killed on 25 March night.
