One argument is being given that none of the Indian Muslims wants to go to Pakistan.

But then none of the Indians want to go to Pakistan.

Given a choice, everyone would like to go to USA or Europe or some other good country like Australia or New Zealand.

Why would someone want to jump from the frying pan into fire?

But things are changing in Pakistan too. Their GDP is growing. They have a PM who is not a fascist. Foreign investment is flowing into that country. The people have experimented enough with dictatorship and have realized that it does not deliver. Their courts are pronouncing better judgements, their army is slowly coming to terms that it has to be under civilian control and they finally have a leader who is level headed.

Maybe one day Pakistan will become a better country than India in terms of economic metrics. They are working towards it.

We are busy burning our country.

And pray why should anyone leave their own country?

The reason Indian Muslims are not migrating to Pakistan is not because they are happy/happiest in India, or they are are not suppressed and marginalized, and that they don't feel the threat of lynchings and being demonized on a daily basis.

-Post partition migration is done over with, the borders are closed and migrating from India is not encouraged here(If Pak govt. comes up with a plan and incentives for Indian Muslims like exchange and transfer of properties) there will be huge influx.

-Also migration need lots of economic strength, mostly rich Muslim groups migrated to Pakistan during partition as it demands money and resources, a large number of Indian Muslims are socially and economically deprived lot, hence they do not have the resources to migrate to Pakistan.

- Other thing is belonging to the soil with about thousand year history of culture, language, their forefathers belonging to India...so on and so forth, they feel they own India(and this is exactly Hindutvadis abhor).

Correct, there is no space for Indian Muslims in Pakistan and Pakistan will not accept them.

I have distant cousins that live in India. If i think about it, even if they move to Pakistan, what will they do in Pakistan? They are not that rich, and it will be super hard for them to adjust to life in Pakistan where life is quite tough if you're starting from scratch. Kind of reminds me of a Hindu family from Pakistan that moved to India, but couldn't settle.

Indian Muslims have to have live in India, its their home.

Unless one is worried about the safety of his life & property as was the case with Syrians and the German /East European Jews; he /she would not migrate because of ‘Religion’ except for a very few diehard fundamentalists. The ground reality is that migration is seldom due to ideological reasons; instead 99% of all of the migrants are Economic Migrants.

During the last 15 years, India, as well as Bangla Desh, has made much better economic progress than Pakistan. Additionally, thanks to the Taliban, Law & Order situation in Pakistan has been abysmal. Even the Bengali cooks, found in nearly every middle-class home in Pakistan until recently, are moving back to Bangla Desh.

Why would any Indian Muslim migrate to Pakistan? Popular destinations of most migrants as always, remain the USA, Canada, West European countries and Australia.
