Some of you might know that large numbers of Pilot whales began to shore up in Tamil Nadu. Despite repated efforts by the fishermen to take them out to sea and float them out, several of them came back and shored again. Sadly many lost their lives. Now this interview with a medical doctor who has been studying such behavior is very insightful. He has pointed out that these animals 'flee' when they sense an imending disaster, and they can sense the disaster weeks before it hits. It is well known with birds and other animals who flee just before earthquakes and volcanoes hit. If our guy is right, a massive submarine event is waiting to happen.
