A Chinese traveler's experience of train ride in Bangladesh, a sheer nightmare for him

. .
You know in Islam Allah says that the truth will always come out. :azn:

.
I badly wanted to take shots against Bangladesh then I realised all of South Asia could do with maybe having less kids. Just chill out with the humping, pick up a book or a hobby like walking/running.

i've seen some youtube vids and it was totally awful , BD members on this forum like to boast how BD is growing but the reality is far from that ...

Dude.....

You aware that growing very fast while at still a low base makes little difference here and now and will take a good 10-15 years to radically alter the infrastructure of the country.

This looks nothing more than a "revenge" thread by a Chinese poster as BD'shis have been slamming their suppprt of Myanmar over Rohingya and also their appalling treatment of Uyghur.

As an example of where BD is heading infrastructure wise, this year it will be spending 17 billion dollars on the sector.:dance3:

why can't he rent a car and go to the place he is going ?

You have such a simple mindset. Why have trains at all? Try to think of what problems you might encounter while driving in a foreign country.

You're assuming that financial impetus won't be lost to corruption over the next decade. Many third world nations have experienced exponential GDP growth only to wonder where all that potential evaporated to ten years later.

Bingo.
This is what I try to tell sometimes in my posts as the road to a developed economy is the journey of a 1000 miles. Perhaps is BD is just 100 miles in. This can go haywire in 10 different ways.

No, your growth was not sustained for more than a few years.

Totally false.

Pakistan is one of the richest countries in the region. The problem is the rich don’t pay tax.

Pakistani governments have also been looting the country for three terms.

You would be totally shocked at the amount of luxury enjoyed by a sizeable chunk of the Pakistani population.

I have never seen as many people live as lavishly here in the US.

You would be totally shocked at the amount of luxury enjoyed by a sizeable chink of the Pakistani population.

Upper middle classes and elite live like that tho it's not just in Pak but in all South Asian nations symptoms of post colonial stress also Pakistan taxiation system enables folks to money launder but I hate the servant mentality that some of the middle classes have yeah I am hypocrite when I was a kid my cousins house were full of them but I always felt something was wrong with that its should stop

Well, we can split hairs over how long growth should be sustained before it can be defined as true impetus for wholesale socioeconomic development but the point is that if GDP rises dramatically while infrastructure, health, education and extreme poverty indices are playing catch-up, the potential for corruption and a widened rich-poor divide where the newly wealthy further exploit that divide is greater. Nevertheless, your faith in your nation's leaders to deliver is admirable and I hope they do.

Exactly. Pakistan's economic booms have been exploited and withered away by corrupt individuals at several points in history. The tax dodgers have never really gone away. Most of our recent elected PM's were siphoning off cash through their industries and engaged in nepotism to the benefit of family members and a select few mutual back scratchers only.
