‘Clinton saved Nawaz Sharif from Mush’s noose’

Well then why is Nawaz being punished for?

He's not really being punished! He signed a deal for pete's sakes to not to interfere or return to Pakistani politics/territory for ten years and it is expected of him to honor that agreement.

Musharraf was quite generous to let him leave for London from Saudi Arabia (the excuse used by Nawaz was 'medical conditions') but now look at Mr Nawaz; he's been working overtime it seems to gain the political limelight he has lost by signing 'Charter of Democracy' and what not! He should have been kept on the tight leash he was on.

I am not loosing so to speak. You are failing to prove your part of the arguement. It IS political manouvering! Those people have NOT been 'cleared' of the charges; only they've been brushed under the carpet to guarantee their loyalty to maintain an artificial party PML-Q together as the governing party.

If and when the political climate inside Pakistan changes and when Musharraf does not stand to gain from these people anymore, they're goodluck would have run out.

Musharraf's only mistake was to ammend ways with the Mullahs and turning his back towards the secular parties when he should have atleast kept the PPP engaged; which IS what he is doing now! The Mullahs are up in political arms against him since Musharraf requires the support of secular parties to pass bills such as the recent Womens' Protection Bill.

Musharraf took office in 1999 with the promise to bring new faces to clean Pakistani politics fo corrupt politicians. The only change he brought was to keep NS and BB out while all the corrupt politicians are a part of his cabinet. To me it seems he has done nothing. He has lost the support he enjoyed with the promises he made but in 2002 he let us down.

What would be ur position, if despite all the rhetoric and blame game Mush has been doing, Mush desides to side with BB and allow her a part in a coalition government. That is were my points become valid

Well Nawaz is a pak citizen and not a single count of cirruption on him has been proved,so thinking that he would come back to get punished under the court of law is wierd. Why would he do that?

Who was Mushraff to grant him such a get away?it was a political agreement and not a magnimonius move by Mushraff.

I dont think the president of Pakistan has any right to accuse a party and hold him guilty and then grant him pardon,if so then whats the supreme court there for.

Exactly!
Did pakistan do not have a independant and impartrial judiciary in the country. If this is the case then MUSH is OK. He can work as a chief Justice of Pakistan as well. ;)
