How does yak meat taste like?

Yak died yestarday, they brought it from Gilgit but couldn't survive here. Saw it in news.

We have done Yak many times, tough and quite alright.

Oh they lost a lot of money but i have heard they are mot that expensive in GB my friend told me stories of yaks killing snow leapords by their horns

IMO, I've had yak few times, it's "lighter" than beef, if that's how you put it. Again, I had it a long time ago.

Yak died yestarday, they brought it from Gilgit but couldn't survive here. Saw it in news.

I was thinking just that, no way can a Yak survive the heat of Karachi, they are powerful animals, but only against the cold.

Never tried them but know folks who did they say i should try them they taste good

Yak meat / beef tastes in Sialkot back in 2007/8 bit dark in color and cross between mutton and beef if you ever tasted Pahari Bakra meat is quite similar to that bit never tasted their paye and siri....they are quite expensive also medium yak at that time costs 2 to 3 latkh nearly 10 years back.

I don't know you eat having knowingly that it considered beef.....They are not endangered in Pakistan since very few slaughtered on Eid.

Come to Dubai all types of meat available...
Deer = Not taste good since the deer meat available here is from US which is quite similar to mules.
Camel = Camel meat lacks in marbling you can't eat much without oil Arab add Zaitoon oil.
Ostrich = Ostrich meat is cross between lean beef and mutton again like camel not fat and believe me meat without fat is quite hard to eat.

6-7 years ago Pahari bakras were very common in Islamabad they taste better than desi medani bakras now i see very few pahari bakras in mandi

A friend from gb told me that in GB they cost the same price as bulls in Islamabad

I have heard from my uncle that deer meat from Bahawalpur taste very good

Before giving it a negative rating i would lile to try it first

I have eaten camel meat at a sindhi friend,s house a long time ago i found it salty i want to eat two humped central Asian camel meat
