8 NEED-TO-KNOW FACTS ABOUT The American Health Care Act

Yes, it's a question of mindset. They are still stuck in the cold war, anything social is socialist/communist.

Americans actually pay more tax dollars per person for health care than Europe, and get virtually nothing in return.

They certainly are not cost effective.

Even if You were fired, and noone would hire You?

Let me rephrase.
Do you consider $600/month to be such an attractive offer that anyone would consider quitting even a minimum wage job to accept the offer. I don't.

I do not know the background, but it might be that someone calculated that you could save a lot of money by simplifying administration, and reducing other payouts.

As of now, I really do not have an opinion on whether this is a good idea or not. It is derailing the thread, open a new thread if You want to continue that discussion.
Why bother with money at all ? Why not have a government issued ration card that covers everything, from a studio apartment to clothing to food to health care, and perhaps even once a month visit to the brothel ?

Lawyers are the bane to thr American dream. They're responsible for so many social problems in America like deteriorated healthcare and high divorce rates. America really should tackle its lawyer issue.
What is the alternative to the lawyer ? How about the thug ?

Which is preferable, a nation of laws or a nation of thuggery to settle disputes ?

The antithesis of a lawyer is an honest person. A lawyer has more in common with a thug than an honest person as both want to rob you of your wealth and use intimidation as a means to produce results.

So to answer your question of what is preferable to settle disputes, a nation of lawyers or a nation of honest people, I would go with the latter.

An 'antithesis' is the direct opposite of something. In other words, you are saying that all attorneys are crooks. You are also saying that honest people CANNOT have disagreements. What utopia are you living in ?

I know what antithesis means, u do know people outside of America speak English??

In other words, you are saying that all attorneys are crooks. You are also saying that honest people CANNOT have disagreements.

That's exactly what I'm saying, thx for telling me what I just said.

What utopia are you living in ?

The paradise called Canada.

Am wondering about you.

Right...You are saying that honest people cannot have disagreements, therefore, they need lawyers, who are crooks, to be dishonest for them.

The paradise called Canada.
Yeah...Am sure they have no lawyers up there...

Honest people resolve their disagreements by sitting down and talking it through without hiding anything from the other party.

BTW are you a lawyer?????????

Now You are back to Your strange ideas.
  • We have money, and a banking system way superior to Yours.
  • Some people claim You still use cheques, a stone age technology.
  • We believe in a system of equal opportunity. Choice of education should be based on talent, not on rich parents. If the population has higher education, we are more competitive.
  • Our government is based on laws since the Vikings, I.E as long as there are written records. We do not support the US lawyer culture to sue, to make a living.
  • Unlike most countries, it is illegal to buy sex in Sweden
  • Our universal healthcare is more effective than Yours.

It is not strange.

YOU sees nothing wrong with living off someone else's labor, ie that 600/m governmental stipend. I see that as strange. Everything you described as US being 'inferior' to you Eurosnobs are irrelevant. We are not talking about helping someone when he is truly unable to work and earn an honest living. But the idea of giving someone a 'basic income' for doing nothing is just one degree shy of communism, friend.

So yes, you can have your 'advanced' communist society while I continues to write paper checks but remains free.

Wrong, I simply do not have an strong opinion on this,
because I have not seen the arguments for and against.
It is not something we have here in Sweden.
It has been proposed by extreme feminists, and ignored.
As long as it is ignored, I am not bothered to think about it in any detail.
I simply think that it does not seem to be even a little bit attractive.

Writing paper cheques does not make You free, just backwards.

Buddy, you are no more 'advanced' than US. Cash, checks, credit cards, or even if you go cashless, as long as you need money, you are no more 'advanced' than US. All you have done is have one iteration after another of the representation of money.

Why you people are afraid of Communism. There are some good aspects in there as well. Why don't Americans adopt some socialist ideas for a change?

Did you know that there is a successful Marxist/communist society and that it is actually admirable ?

It is called the 'monastery', which includes the 'nunnery'.

But there are two major differences between this religious Marxist/communist society and the secular Marxist/communist society.

One...The religious Marxist/communist society believes in a higher power than themselves which will judge them in an afterlife.

Two...The religious Marxist/communist society is voluntary.

These two differences are what made the secular Marxist/communist inherently violent. He cannot stand anyone not believing as he does.

So all you have to do is create a Marxist/communist country where private property is banned, just like Marx wanted. No money. No class. No capitalism. And everyone works at his/her hardest no matter what.

Get to it...

Not all the ideals of communism is bad. The "one for all and all for one" theme is quite noteworthy in my opinion. No single person can survive on his own. He needs the society as much as the society needs him. There should be a equilibrium between the two.

Then go and create a Marxist/communist society that is beyond the monastery stage. No one is stopping you.
