731 & 606 - Mig & Sukhoi Hunters Kill markings

Is it possible for someone in the Engg. branch to become the Air Chief?
Nope strictly fighter pilots. The modeling of the air force is setup in a manner where they only produce fighter pilots first, and the rest secondary. Which is quite an outdated system where you find a lot of mediocre fighter pilots that would be great helicopter and transport pilots and vice versa. I'm a huge supporter of PAF, having grown up in it but I do pass certain criticism for it where it can always be better.

I did some AI based upscaling for you fellas
But since when did kill markings became honoring enemy flags by putting them on your own platform?

We received these back in 1992. And I might be wrong, but they could be Block 15's.

These Block 15's with serials starting from 92 were the embargoed ones which we later received in the 2000s.

yeh picture meray pas nahi hy kya ap bata sakty ho isky bary main??? pilot name? 4-1??? war?

Italian Air Force Typhoon's DACT victories, not any actual battle victories.

Its only the Iranian Drone on the Demo JF-17. We can't use the Iranian Flag, it'll jeopardize our Diplomatic Relations with 'em.

But India..., we already crossed that river a long time back.

Behold...M.M.Alam's F-86 (Sabre)

So we've preserved dozens of F-86's all over the country but this is the one that we decided to take through the chop shop? Good job PAF.

Also, not block-52 because the 52s have a different spine.

Block 52 A's don't have the spine. This isn't a block 52 though.

The British news paper The Sun, once carried out an article in this regards and interviewed some ground crew, who claimed that due to behaviour of RAF pilots, some crew like to ''do'' their aircraft in....furthermore when one of these ''arrogant'' pilot crashed his Phantom into North Sea, there was a huge cheer among the associated ground crew.
very disturbing attitude

Indeed. And honestly speaking it is disturbing.

I had a frank discussion with someone from IAF's flying branch and they have a more acute problem. When pilots (usually from upper casts) insult the ground crew (usually from lower casts) guess what happens? They sabotage the aircraft.

And here is your answer to frequent IAF crashes. Atleast this is how they put it.
this is a dreadful scenario and i pray we dont have such atmosphere in PAF
it can result in defeat and despair.

Why is the RAF obsessed with status??
Having taken a general overview of PPRuNe and the RAF at large, I can't help but feel that we are an organization that is obsessed by status. A considerable number of comments here involve an element of branch/role/ac snobbery. I know much of this is light banter but there is, nevertheless, an unmistakable trend.

Why is at that Harrier pilots look down on other FJ pilots, who then look down on ME pilots. All the pilots look down on Navs who in turn think that AE's are lesser beings. Anyone who flys thinks their superior to anyone who doesn't so the ground trades have a hierarchy all of there own. At the bottom of this imaginary ladder I reckon sit Movers or the RAF Police. Society is far flatter now in terms of status, perhaps because footballer and plumbers earn so much, so why is the RAF still obsessed? Are we really such a shallow bunch that we cannot appreciate each others worth??? Just a personnal observation, but there you go.

The atmosphere is there....just not documented.

thats a real issue which should be dealt immediately
Agreed. However one cannot change a working culture overnight. It will take time. Some slams will have to be felt especially at the international level particularly at exercises, and a good example are the events of Feb 27th.

Is this Indian Kill marking of Pilot Khan or Pilot Siddiqui F16?

Secondly, marking color is strange.

Indian Kill marking colour is this:
