We as a country is probably the most diverse one, Be it religion, culture, language..... Being united is the single most achievement which stands out......We believed in "Unity in Diversity" and we ensured we are united......... Yes there are differences among ourselves, and we have sorted it out always.... There are forces around the world who try to fuel these differences, but come what may We will stay united....

I think the biggest achievement is that we have been and are slowly inculcating a sense of "Nationhood" in the people.

Being a Nation is separate from being a Country. We have slowly been able to get more and more people to accept the concept of Indians first rather than Biharis first or Tamils first or Gujarati first or Marathi first.

Though this is an ongoing process but it is happening. "Indianism" is increasing amongst the people consistently over the decades. Much more to go, but we are firmly on that path.

Interesting observation.

Mao was a mass murderer and a sociopath,he was basically a megalomaniac just like Stalin. The only difference being that Stalin was a great administrator and a statesman. No sane person will actually follow Mao's ideology. The ones who follow his ideology are sociopaths and murderers like him.
The C.P.I.(maoist) party consist of all types of criminals and thugs and hence they are loosing their support base among the general populace by the each passing day. They'll be wiped off this nation within the next 5 years if all goes according to the plan:coffee:!!

Yeah we do love to screw our neighbors particularly the eastern one because they deserved to be screwed plus we are the regional powerhouse here in this part of the world, hence there is nothing anyone can do about that:cheers:

The reality is that the spirit of Mao is more alive all around the world today than you think.

In India’s case you may not have a choice of "Melting Pot" since you do not have a majority race and you have four major languages.

Here is a comment from Lee Kuan Yew in his latest book.

四、關於印度。雖有年輕化的優勢,但長期李並不看好,主要是“尚空談,少實幹”?外,基礎建設落後,語言不統一及種姓制度也都一一制約了印度的能量。
Fourth, on India.
Although having a younger population advantage, but Lee is not optimistic about the long-term, mainly talking nonsense, not pragmatic. Outside, backward infrastructure, language is not uniform and the caste system in India are weighting down India’s energy.
