As many as 500 retired soldiers of the Pakistan Army have joined the Sindh police on Sunday.
According to the Sindh Police spokesman, they were appointed to combat terrorism in the city.
“They will be appointed in the sensitive areas of Karachi after one month training”, he told.
He further said that some 600 other retired soldiers would join the police in coming weeks.
