5 Reasons Why India Is So Dirty

. .

And they didn't even talk about the open defecation, no toilets, etc.

Tbh, this is actually very true. However, one good thing is that things are actually improving. 10 years ago, only clean city in India was chandigarh. But now there are others, mostly in South India but some in North India too like Indore in Madhya Pradesh and Ambikapur in Chhattisgarh. If a city like Indore can reform itself to become a super clean city or if a city in a poor tribal state like Chattisgarh can become clean then any other city in India also can. The major point to note from these two cities is that it is effective administration work which deserve major credit for such a turnaround.

We have cleaner cities in general. You can post pictures of slums or select landfills but Pakistan is way cleaner than India. My own small city of bahawalpur is light years beyond any city in India.
The only properly dirty city of Pakistan is Karachi.

Which is probably the most chaotic, corrupt, war-torn, terrorist, mismanaged mega-city in modern history!

I have no India how India has cities more dirty than Karachi!

Having never had the pleasure of visiting Pakistan and experiencing it for myself I'm sure you're right. Our populace size remains a sizeble hindrance, mixed with a developed indifference to the state of public spaces, pollution in all its forms remains a challenge.

I've been fortunate enough to glimpse the extremes coexisting in my country and it is not pretty. Change is upon us though, there is a visible push from the populace itself, encouraged by polities efforts and a need to proudly stand with other comity of nations who've been successfull in this regard. This is why I believe this movement will be successful, it's people driven rather than running on government directives.

There has been a marked change in the last decade, that is not to imply all is rosy but the long path is being treaded and hopefully we will come out at the other side for the better.

Migrants moving to urban areas from rural ones causes an influx which our polity is incapable or unwilling to address. This causes its own set of problems for the city. Naturally our numbers being significantly more than yours causes this to happen throughout the country.

City planning remains a bedrock when addressing such issues, something this subcontinent as a whole severely lacks. Thankfully there has been a change for the better in this regard but it remains subjective to the whims of our polity.

Wrong person mate😅

I've no illusion about our cleanliness and I feel a discussion on the line of "whose is cleaner" would be subjective and decend into name calling rapidly.
