42 teachers suspended for poor performance

RAHIM YAR KHAN: District Education Officer Ali Ahmad Chaudhry on Thursday issued a list of schools and teachers who performed poorly in the fifth and eighth grade examinations held under Punjab Education Commission (PEC).

Tehsil Sadiqabad Government Girls Elementary School’s pass percentage was seven. Its headmistress, Rehana Parveen, was suspended.

Tehsil Rahim Yar Khan Government Girls Elementary School had a 16 per cent success ratio and its headmistress Nudrat Parveen has been suspended.

Tehsil Khanpur Government Girls Primary School’s headmistress Parveen Liaquat has been suspended because none of the students from the school passed the examination.

Tehsil Liaquatpur Government Girls Primary School’s seven per cent children passed the examination and its headmistress Najma Parveen has been suspended.

Among boys’ schools, tehsil Sadiqabad Government Primary School Ibrahim Kamboh and tehsil Rahim Yar Khan Government Elementary School has no passing students. Their headmasters Nazeer Ahmad and Iqbal Shaheen have been suspended.

Tehsil Khanpur Government Primary School and tehsil Liaquatpur Government Primary School results remained at zero per cent and headmasters Liaquat Ali and Muhammad Younas were suspended.

For grade eight examinations, the results of tehsil Sadiqabad’s Government Girls Elementary School Nawaz Wasa, tehsil Rahim Yar Khan’s Government Girls Elementary School Wahi Shah, tehsil Khanpur’s Government Girls Elementary School and tehsil Liaquatpur’s Government Girls Elementary School Taranda Mir Khan stood at zero per cent. Headmistresses Sadia Iqbal, Anwar Fatima, Tahira Balqees and Hina Nasir were suspended.

In the male wing, tehsil Sadiqabad Government Elementary School’s result remained at zero per cent and headmaster Abdul Qadir Shah was suspended.

Tehsil Rahim Yar Khan Government Elementary School Rafiqul Ulma’s result remained at 15 percent and headmaster Rasheed Ahmad was suspended.

Tehsil Khanpur Government Elementary School’s result remained at zero and headmaster Fiaz Ahmad was suspended. Tehsil Liaquatpur Government Elementary School Muhammad Daha’s result remained at eight per cent and headmaster Muhammad Naeem was suspended.

All of these teachers were also issued show cause notices.

Education should be top priority, everywhere in Pakistan.
 
Then they should cancel all the recent appointments held in interior Sindh ...
