4 out of 5 Pakistanis say country headed in the wrong direction: survey

No it doesn't....because they serially repeat. They till think corolla is the best car in the world

If they repeat that means they don't give up easy. Also a good thing.

You find them a better car whose engine performs constantly at 125 percent at that ambient temperature with little or no maintenance and roads built by corrupt Pharaohs. I call that practicality.

it's convenient for both parties to claim as such and continue their ways.

there's a fundamental difference between India and Pakistan. that is challenging the status quo. while India and Indians will never challenge status quo of anything, Pakistan and Pakistanis live by the code of self improvement.

to say that the general masses are content with the affairs of the state, it would be dangerously naive and an insult to them. the countrymen are battling stunted reforms, inflation, a crumbling health sector, an outdated education system and a deranged foreign policy when it comes to economic security of the country.
Well I am not saying Gov is doing all reforms but Gov give a big economical break to the textile sector .In the days of the Corona epidemic, restrictions on clothing purchases within Pakistan declined, but the industry remained profitable. see how it was possible to increase textile exports to Pakistan when the industry was at a loss in other countries, and what is the current working situation in the factories. Also how we are settling the CPEC/RPEC and Central Asia includes Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan. We should appreciate these gov reforms. this type of gov is working on grassroots, and working hard to strengthen our foundation.

Four out of every five Pakistanis believe that the country is generally headed in the wrong direction, the latest survey by research company IPSOS showed.
More than 1,000 people from all over the country participated in the survey which was conducted between December 1 and December 6, 2020.

The findings were released on Tuesday for the last quarter (Q4) of 2020 and compared people's responses from the same period a year ago.
The survey showed that last year, in the fourth quarter, 21% people believed that the country was headed in the right direction, while 79% thought the opposite.
This year has seen a very small improvement, with 23% saying they believe Pakistan is on the right track and 77% thinking it is not.

Financial situation
This year, 36% people said that their current personal financial situation is weak, 13% characterised it as strong while 51% said it is neither strong nor weak.
By comparison, last year, 38% had said their financial situation is weak, 5% had termed it strong and 57% had put it in between.
This indicates a slight improvement in personal finances with a 2% drop in the weak category and an 8% rise in the strong category.

Province-wise assessment
When a province-wise assessment was done, it was found that a “poor financial situation” is prominent across all the provinces.
Inflation ranked the highest among the top 4 contributors to the situation.
In Sindh, the second highest contributor was viewed to be unemployment (20%), followed by COVID-19 (17%) and poverty (16%).
In Punjab, 23% people felt the province’s poor financial situation stems from unemployement, 8% thought it was due to COVID-19 and 14% believed poverty has a role.

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 18% felt unemployment is the leading cause, 12% attributed it to COVID-19 and 8% felt it was plain poverty that was behind the province’s financial situation.
In Balochistan, 25% people responded by blaming unemployment, a mere 2% felt COVID-19 played a role, and 25% felt it was poverty that has led to the province’s dismal state of financial affairs.

The central Asian focus has dragged on at a lethargic but constant pace for 15 years now.

Pakistan's abandonment of the game of the high seas will remain a factor for a long long time.

Textile industry is not a good marker and so is masonry. These remain steady pandemic or not. You can argue that Pakistan has staked a claim in global food supply the past few years.

Nevertheless, the situation for the masses remain bleak. The outward mindset brings little value to them locally.

The average citizen needs a bigger share of the pie on the worlds highway of trade. It's all about social justice

Pakistan has a mostly rural agricultural economy and this where we should be investing our future with modern technologies. The land has been recognized as prime quality since about 3000 BCE. But the agricultural economy will not support an adequate standard of living by modern standards. Pakistan has a difficult problem made worse by its politicians' incompetence and venality (Nawaz/Zardari). The high population growth rate would be difficult to cope with even with a healthy economy. The economic prospects have been diminished by the piling up of public debt(Nawaz/Zardari and cotton land converted to sugarcane field for their Mills). The servicing of the international part of the debt put an overwhelming burden on the economy. Of course, it is payback time for all nation average citizen needs than if continuing the debt cycle. We need to stand on our own and help each other as a Pakistani. But I see the other way around; we are just pulling our legs.
I agreed with you Social Justice and good governance are prime responsibilities of the current government. and they should deliver it.

Shitty Sample = Shitty Survey Results

I don’t know where you’re based, but if you go to streets you will find 9/10 people saying the same thing so this survey is surely based on good sample.

.
Survey also found 4 out of 5 people said “ Kapil dev was a better cricketer “

Repeating stop you thinking thats what rata learning is and man has moved to the moon and Muslim are stuck in the sand with the head busied and asses sticking out with the west kicking them.
Regarding the cars and roads.
Yes corruption galore...but you missed my point. If you had a maybach and a corolla will you pick a corolla...because a desi will simply because his father said it was a great car and his grandfather said the same. Again repetition stagnated progress.
Madrassa graduates are like this...just repeat...ask a question the get stuck..Pakistani universities are like this too. Professor is always right. I studied here and we discussed with our professors

Should people stop asking basic questions because it's repetition or monotonous?

Also if everyone in the society choose Maybach, that society is basically dead. Seems to me you want a materialistic society not a practical one. When there would be enough fathers with enough Maybach experience, they will recommend it to the ones they care for.

Culture puts teachers on a pedestal. If some exploit it, there are legislations for it.

And in the end you may have a point about repeating since you repeat your mullah rant more than villagers who rant against lesser and lesser provisions of water.

Land maybe suitable for agriculture but the psyche of the populace is more of business.

You can trace this from recent appreciation of exports upgrowth to the fact that Pakistan produces nothing for the industrialized world per say.

That is why the state is promoting industrial agriculture as means of balancing out the potential.

You really have a brain the size of a pea.
No wonder you are a bus driver.

Like a pandu you argue just for the sake of arguing. Never stop to analyse what anyone is saying.

Dumb and dumber combined.
Now go repeat .... I am only good enough to drive a bus because I was too dumb to apply my brain at school. Total disappointment.

If people repeated rhetoric in Pakistan, 4 out 5 would be in favour of the government.
