After a couple of defeats in the One Day series, the Pakistani side finally registered their first win of the series on the English soil, however a British newspaper has alleged that the third One Day between Pakistan and England was fixed. Following the allegations International Cricket Council (ICC) has launched an inquiry into the claim.
The Pakistani team is under fire from the British media who earlier alleged that as many as three Pakistani stars were involved in spot-fixing. The newspaper further claims that the details of the Pakistani innings were predetermined and England was bound to twin the game but suddenly things changed due to Umer Gul's devastating spell of accurate bowling.
So far there is no concrete evidence that of match-fixing and it seems that Pakistans victory against England did not go well with the British media.
