Whew, that takes care of transportation. So where's the picnic spot?

.
the english link is working now:

The prime minister said the government has inked a deal with China to purchase nine jet trainer aircraft. ‘The signing of agreement with Russia for buying 24 advanced jet trainer aircraft and five Mi-171 helicopters under the state credit is under process,’ she said.
Sheikh Hasina said a process for procuring two maritime search and rescue helicopters and basic transport trainer aircraft is underway.

Welcome back my little bro i missed u.

Wow, BD will soon have the same amount of trainers as actual fighters!

Until trainers outnumber fighters and eventually replace them. Thanks to all hard working politicians and military personnel, for.. erm.. making money and helping the country. :)

.
it means BD is going to procure a big number of units of new fighter aircrafts ;)

I think a BNP government will most probably order a large number of fighters(50+) if they get into power but the Awami League may hesitate as India may not like it.

Saying all that, even another Awami government may order large numbers of 4th generation fighters in order to placate the military. After all they did order 4 billion dollars of arms in the last 4 years.

The days of BD not having any money to buy anything decent are well and truly over now.

Bold part: Please check the record. It is AL time when the govt purchased huge amount of weapons in the last as well as present terms. But, BNP put a moratorium on purchasing during its previous two terms. Correct me if I am wrong.

I just do not understand the BNP mindset with regard to defense procurement.

BDforever provided you "life line" so to speak when indian proxy war against Bangladesh is getting exposed and attention. BDforever is desperate just like indias on dismal fate Awami League is facing. That why this new thread of spam initiated when there were multiple other threads on the topic already exists.
are you implying @BDforever is RAW agent?

That is a good point.

Now there is no real excuse not to purchase military equipment...

Poverty has gone down a fair bit and will continue to go down steadily over the coming years. Economy is over 150 billion dollars in size and government spending will near 30 billion dollars this year.

I cannot see how a BNP government would not want to spend the increasing budget on modernising the military but there is not guarantee as to what will happen.
