The prime contractors involved in this program will be Boeing Company, Mesa, AZ and Lockheed Martin, Orlando, FL. There are no known offset agreements proposed in connection with this potential sale. The purchaser typically requests offsets. Any offset agreement will be defined in negotiations between the purchaser and the contractor(s).

Implementation of this proposed sale will require the assignment of eleven U.S. Government personnel and three contractor representatives to Morocco as part of the Technical Assistance Fielding Team and Field Service Representatives.

There will be no adverse impact on U.S. defense readiness as a result of this proposed sale.

This notice of a potential sale is required by law and does not mean the sale has been concluded.

What kind of dumb question is this?
Please use civil verbiage.
What is the threat to expend such high monies? Morocco faces no credible threat for such weaponary. There are better use for this monies in the rural areas of morocco e.g. assisting with electrification at a mere fraction of this value.

Electrification in Morocco is at nearly 100%.
In less than 20 years, Morocco has made extraordinary progress to electrify the whole country and this includes even the rural areas, which have seen their coverage increase from 18% in the mid‑1990s to nearly 100% presently.

@Bilal Khan (Quwa) how much is the program related to our zulus and how many were ordered?

.
#363
(i) Prospective Purchaser: Kingdom of Morocco.
(ii) Total Estimated Value:
Major Defense Equipment* $3.00 billion.
Other $1.25 billion.
Total $4.25 billion.
I am guessing $1.25 billion is the cost of training, technical support and equipment for a new military base for the helos.

They aren't related to AH-1Z Zulus at all. 36 were ordered by Morocco.

South Africa have poverty rates that exceeds 50% the country is full of slums with no water. In addition to the significant number of crimes and murders, white people still enslave black people there. I highly recommend you shut up.

I read that Morocco is also interested on T-129 Atak and may seek to supplement the Apaches. In Case of an war in so called "western Sahara", western Goverments could easyly imply arms Embargo on Morocco. Turkey Support Moroccos stance in western Sahara. Turkey also look to increase the influence towards western Africa. Morocco Connect two Major Seas and have an direct land Access to western Africa. If it is against Spain or Polisario Turkey will be on Moroccos Side.

That's unlikely to happen given the fact that the US and France did support and provided weapons during the war to Morocco without problems. Now that everything changed and Morocco became even more important to the west it won't be strange if The US gave Morocco an exclusive right to buy weapons that are forbidden to others. The world's current issues and the strategic position of Morocco economically, geographically and politically forces the west to befriend Morocco rather than make an enemy out of it.
