I do agree a Mig-21 has been shot down by PAF be it the JF or F-16 giving PAF +1 in this round but I neither believe IAF shooting down an F-16 nor PAF shooting down an Su-30 because there are no credible sources to verify each other's claims

It's a bit difficult to show proof of an actual plane when the said plane falls in enemy territory. That said, I believe the SU-30 kill will be revealed soon. Secondly, Please explain why after the skirmish, Modi was ranting about not having Rafael jets? As far as my research shows, the SU-30 & Rafael have almost the same capabilities. It is not like the same jump that was between an F-15 and F-22.

I do agree there was some political saga which has been played by BJP and the Mig-21 being shot down was an embarrassment to the govt. No matter what Indian media or govt says, there is proof we lost one of our fighter and PAF won this round

Also, opposition has been pounding BJP regarding the Rafale scam (even though the courts gave a clean chit) which is something he wanted to prove a point that it is absolutely necessary, his decision of cancelling the MMRCA tender and a govt-to-govt deal on 36 Rafales is right and maybe procure in higher numbers.
