Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Minister Md Tazul Islam today said about 30 lakh job opportunities will be created at Mirsarai Economic Zone.

"We have the opportunity to earn billions of dollars from Chattogram and we have to work in this regard," he said while addressing a function, as chief guest, at Radisson Blu Chattogram Bay View.

The minister also said Bangabandhu dreamt of a developed country and his daughter Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is now materialising that dream, and has made the country self-sufficient in food production and education.

But yeah this LGRD minister is a typical uneducated AL party hack. No restraint in his hyperbole factory which is his mouth. He probably meant 3 Lakh, meaning 300,000 jobs.

I'd be happy with 30,000 jobs to start, 300,000 jobs may be eventual full capacity when things are in full on operations. The place is not small. The area is over 30,000 acres.

As far as I understand, about US$10,000 investment is required in a modern day industry to create 1 job. Our minister is talking about creating 30 Lakh or 3 million jobs. It means, he already has received offer of investment of about US$30 billion already.

It is sooo good, but, he forgot to mention when this great thing will happen in Mirasarai.
