I don't think you know what a burqa is...

Anyway they're probably poor women who got used as drug mules. I really doubt they're your nations biggest threat.

This stupid boy criminalizes everything. This is only half the picture, their lives could have been under threat.

They shoukd get severe punishment. At least 30 years of jail time or capital punishment.

They r drug smugglers.

It isn't the duty of the judges to see what would've happened to the accused criminals if they hadn't committed the crime.

They have committed a henious crime and should be severely punished.

You guys have been doing exceptionally well in tackling the drug menace, i like the heavy handed approach.

Well after seeing some unfortunate poor pakistanis being used as drug mules to arab countries. I think now that would be too harsh.

I think some punishment is definitely in order 1-5 years in prison. I would only support capital punishment or a 30 year sentence for the actual people who made them into drug mules.

It's easy to punish poor people for being drug mules. That doesn't solve much. These women have fled from rapists & murderers, they are in vulnerable positions. You want to punish someone severely - then go after the real drug dealers who profit from hiring these women as drug mules.

It isn't the duty of the judges to see what would've happened to the accused criminals if they hadn't committed the crime.

They have committed a henious crime and should be severely punished.

You don't know how judges work then.

That's good, they shouldn't be given a slap on the wrist, but you ignored everything else the OP mentioned. "Burka clad", "Bangladeshi Bengali", <<< unnecessary words, anyone could have done the same act.

Not everything is Black & White, these women could well have been bent people, but then again they could have been forced by threat of their life. Law is still non existent in places like BD and usually enforced in usual spots like border posts etc.

Some people get their pleasure from life by blaming foreigners and immigrants and refugees as the cause of all their problems. It's an easy way to ignore the real problems.

No,

If they get away such easily, it will encourage others to do the same because they will know that they won't be punished even if they get caught.

They knew the risk and took it to gain financial benefit. These smugglers should face severe punishment.

They r here to destroy our youth.

1-5 years is enough punishment and by no means an easy punishment.

You don't know why they did it. Neither do I. You're acting as if these women became drug mules so they can buy a new car or something.

Nope. They would've given 1-5 years of jail punishment if they had less than 5 gm of yaba with them. This punishment is usually given to the users.

However, here I believe these women were carrying no less than 1kg per person. They will get severe punishment according to BD drug law

The Narcotics Control Act defines methamphetamines, also known as “yaba”, and other drugs, such as “shisha”, as narcotics for the first time, Cabinet Secretary Mohammad Shafiul Alam told reporters after the meeting chaired by Hasina.

“It proposes the death sentence as maximum punishment for producing, smuggling, distributing and using more than 5 gm of ‘yaba’,” he said, adding that possession of less than 5 gm (0.18 oz) would attract a maximum jail term of five years.

Or perhaps these women have done it willingly to get some easy money.

Fact is there's no way to know it. They will obviously tell the interagators that they were forced to do it to save their asses like every other criminals.

Just watch few episodes of "jailed in abroad" and u'll see that most of these fucker drug carriers do it due to their greed.

You live in a country where once upon a time YABA was consumed for prolonged work and giving the human body energy for whatever reasons they needed it for i.e clubbing, sex, etc. Do you know most of these drug barons are Burmese or Thai, such people have a disgusting and heartless nature where they will exploit the POOR and will do so mercilessly.

Poverty was part and parcel of Bangladeshi society once upon a time, we of all people should know they did not do this out of malicious intent, but their situation. Course they should face the sentence. There are other ways to facilitate such sentences.
