What's new

29,256 Insurgents killed by Pakistan since 2003.

Never heard of such thing ... besides Security forces causalities cant really be hidden in this day and age , with media snooping in every corner , can I have the source from which you are taking these figures ?

Sir ji, When Pakistan armed forces can suppress destruction Of AWAC for 6 months, can suppress casualties in Tirah Op last year due to blanket media ban on entering in those areas, why do you overall casualty could not be hidden ? anyways the source is express tribune

Top spy agencies told the Supreme Court on Tuesday that Pakistan has lost 49,000 lives since the apocalyptic attacks on World Trade Center and Pentagon in the United States on September 11, 2001. Interestingly, government agencies had put the fatality figure at 40,000 in earlier reports.

More than 24,000 people – both civilians and troops – were killed in terrorist attacks during the period between 2001 and 2008. The last five years have proved costlier, in human terms. Another 25,000-plus people died during military offensives against Taliban insurgents in the restive tribal regions since 2008, the attorney for the intelligence agencies told the court in a report.

The apex court was hearing a petition challenging the constitutional status of the Action in Aid of Civil Powers Regulations (AACPR) 2011 which relates to deployment of armed forces to help the civil administration restore law and order.

The petition was filed by former Jamaat-i-Islami senator Professor Ibrahim through his counsel Ghulam Nabi. The petitioner has accused the army of violating human rights in the provincially administered tribal areas (PATA).

According to the report, the armed forces have suffered 15,681 casualties while fighting Taliban militants in the tribal areas since 2008 – with 2009 being the deadliest year for them.

The court was informed that the armed forces were called in aid of the civil administration as the law enforcers, including the police, were unable to tackle the challenge in most of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province.

As many as 5,152 civilians have been killed and 5,678 injured in bomb blasts and suicide attacks since 2008, says the report. Similarly, 3,051 insurgents were killed and 1,228 wounded in security operations during the same period.

According to the report, there have been 235 suicide hits, 9,257 rocket attacks and 4,256 bomb explosions in the last five years. More than 200 members of tribal peace committees, or Lashkars, including volunteers and chieftains, were also killed and 275 wounded in targeted attacks in the last three years.

The report also revealed that 1,030 schools and colleges were destroyed by Taliban insurgents in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa from 2009 to 2013.

The spy agencies also claimed that the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan, the outlawed conglomerate of militant groups blamed for most violence in the country, has weakened due to infighting and fragmentation. Some of its splinter groups have morphed into sectarian extremist groups – which are mounting attacks on the Shia community in Quetta and Karachi.

Now, the TTP is not as effective as it was before 2008 when it challenged the writ of the state, the report said adding that people’s support for militants is waning.

According to the report, the Afghan government was colluding with the Swat chapter of TTP. And this collusion could lead to a surge in cross-border attacks by Taliban militants in the bordering districts of Chitral, Dir, Swat and tribal regions of Bajaur and Momand. This is the first time Pakistani security forces openly blamed the Afghan government for colluding with the TTP.

Also we should look to make Khan Said and Sajna fight. Hopefully the two will decimate each other.
I don't want to embarrass you, but Khan Said and Sajna is the same person his real name is Khalid Mehsud.

Hiding destruction of AWACS & hiding bodies of 10,000 soldiers are two very different things , but then again it is express tribune i dont have to say much .

.
All American/Israeli/British/Indian agents, I presume? All 29,256 of them.

. .
And all of them killed with 100% accuracy with no civilian casualties.

Of course not, but if the propaganda allows us to gather public support and continue the operations against religious psycopaths, then I see no harm.

Sir, the harm is accrued when the lack of credibility caused by such a false narrative enables the religious psychopaths to create counter-propaganda that the people believe more than the official stories.

So be it. The religious psycopaths always had a head start on the Pakistani state, with the growing radicalization and extremism in society, its hard to try something else than this. Say telling what really happened and thus allowing the God's viceroy to tell its following that 'see I was right all along'.

Thank you for the frank truth, which would not have been well received had I said it. :D

At some point, support in wider society for such radicalization will tip the balance from merely a bad law and order situation into pure chaos. That tipping point may not be that far anymore.

That I disagree with, I believe that Govt of Pakistan is taking steps in the right direction, the military of the country today, knows its real enemies and the imminent threats. A theory supported by the fact, that all terrorists groups are being equally acted against, something that your Govt, agrees with. It might still be possible, to reverse it off, for except achieving success in the current operations and the overall fight against radicalization and extremism, there is no other option of survival.

What you are expressing here, Sir, is hope, which is great, but it can go only so far before it meets the hard reality.

There is nothing to celebrate on heads been killed but more than 20000 innocent life is been lost . Just think k about the number of family affected and number of wondeds .

Hope humanity will keep terrorist at the bay. What ever good u can do to them but they are gonna destroy you . For one reason or the another. To we have well civilised society and law to take care . Law process will be slow as our population is huge when compared to the west. But we real it that barbaric laws of our old day won't yield anything but brutality and inhuman .

Hope Pakistan people will realise the reality of the current situation. Which is imploding Pakistan. Its not good for the world . Wat if a terrorist who had the plan to nuke India and got hold of Nuclear material . But can't bomb india . So he ll blow place with in Pakistan itself . May be their enemies . People the don't like on ideology. Even if the detonate nuclear weapons at the border it will reciprocated by India or all world power in the fear of nuking their countries.

^^^^ I mentioned nuke just bring g the attention to the possibility that safe heaven for terrorists are not safe for human civilization. Am not at all trolling on nuke subject but reasonable point of reality . ( of course nukes are well guarded by PA. But every day is not a same day. Human do errors. Right ?

.
And imagine our fanaticism. After killing more than 29000 militants it is not enough. We need to revise everything from our education to what the mosques sermons include. We need a massive change for Pakistan. Killing people in the nae of religion should be treated as the crime it is.

All of us shouldn't be blind when it comes to terrorism and condemn it in each and every way possible. It is unfortunate what is taking place in Pakistan. In Pakistan criminal records and express tribune I noticed many attacks had been stopped and despite that there was an attack on Wagah. What if God forbid the other attacks had been successful.

There is so much fanaticism in society that it worries me. Education, awareness. A lot of things are needed.

Also we should look to make Khan Said and Sajna fight. Hopefully the two will decimate each other.

education is the only far lasting solution,
however we first have to get rid of the current uneducated fanatics.

.
still tens of thousands of these cockroaches still active???
i wonder whats their exact strength is

5000??
or 10000?
or 20000???

any guesses?

.
FATA is quite densely populated, its entire area is smaller than khuzdar district of Balochistan but has around 8 million population. I was going to say some thing about this figures, but leave it......few weeks a family member of mine got survived thanks to pak army's timely air ambulance so i have decided that i would refrain from saying negative things about them.
