here is a reality check if Pakistan develops ICBMs it would be contending with multiple superpowers. There is no need today for us to develop such a capability and face all the fall out.

we should however focus on drone based air defense and improve our ground fighting ability to take on India if necessary by mid or end of 2023.

we should complete the Highway going via skurdu to China.

focus on CPEC and the CPEC expansion via Afghanistan.

While North Korea faces sanctions, international blockades, insufficient farming materials, food insecurity due to govt's. inability to provide, lack of health personnel and proper health care for its people, a shortage of essential medicines and a low technical foundation of pharmaceutical and medical plants, and as if all that wasn't enough, recurring yearly natural disasters and the COVID-19 pandemic. Malnutrition is so widespread in the country that close to 40% of the population is malnourished.

Pakistan being a Muslim country most likely will face all of the above in the worst case scenario, and if it can live with all that for the sake of ICBMs, then they should have at it by all means and I wish them all the best.

As I have read in books, back in the 60s Pakistan was progressing so rapidly in every field that being a Muslim country it truly raised very serious alarm bells in the west. West had to do something to dampen the progress of this Muslim country and guess what west did behind the scenes, launched Bhutto, a western educated guy. After Bhutto came to power, the VERY first thing he did was, he hit where it would hurt Pakistan most, he nationalized entire Pakistan's private industry base and brought them under the govt. control. As a result, with a very few exceptions all big investors stopped investing or even left Pakistan. Why would anyone want to invest his money if Govt. will take over? Heck, Pakistan was assembling it's own cars and trucks of international standards back in the early 60s. Think, back in 60s when most of the countries in Asia barely had an industrial base and Pakistan's GDP was very far ahead of almost all countries in Asia including it's mortal enemy India. West did not like it.
