Bangladesh Navy members apprehended 29 Indian fishermen along with 2 trawlers from Bay of Bengal for intruding into Bangladeshi waters.
The fishermen were arrested from Hiron Point near Fair Way Buoy on Friday.
It has been learnt from Mongla Police Station source that the Indian fishermen were engaged in illegal fishing in the sea area of Bangladesh violating the laws of sea line. They were arrested by Bangladesh Navy members patrolling in that area. Later they were handed over to Mongla Police Station. SI (Sub Inspector) Manjur Alahi of Mongla Police Station informed the news correspondents that the arrested fishermen will be produced to the court on Saturday.
