Customs officials and Armed Police Battalion (APBn) arrested two cabin crew members of Saudi Airlines with 36 gold bars hidden inside their under-garments from Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka early today.

The two detainees -- Sayma Akhter and Farjana Afrose -- both crew members of Saudi Airlines, were arrested after they arrived at the airport around 2:00am by the SV-802, said Alamgir H Shimul, an additional superintendent of police (ASP) of APBn.

Acting on a tip off, a team of Customs officials and APBn searched them when they were trying to pass the green channel at the airport, said the ASP.

Upon searching the officials found 26 gold bars hidden inside the under garments of Sayma and 10 of Farjana, the APBn official also said.

Dhaka, Mar 18 (UNB) – Customs officials detained two female crews of Saudi Arabian Airlines along with 36 gold bars from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport early Monday.

The two female crews are Saima Akhter and Farzana Afrose.

The Saudi Airlines flight SV-802 reached at the airport at 2am. With the help of Armed Police Battalion (APBn), the Customs team recovered 26 gold bars from Saima and ten from Farzana hidden inside their undergarments.

Not sure about the nationality of these two crew members, but how about chopping off their heads Saudi style in open daylight for people to see. After all, we are also a Sunni Muslim country like SA.

From name Saima Akhter and Farzana Afrose seems they are Bangladeshi. It is known facts Air Crews are used for smuggling in Bangladesh.

Name suggest that these 2 are Bangladeshi. I did not know that Bangladeshi women works as Air Hostess in Saudia. But these two thieves will certainly brought shame on other such Bangladeshi Airhostess who may be working in Saudia.
