At least two people were killed in a done strike near the Pak-Afghan border in Kurram Agency on Tuesday, DawnNews reported.

According to eyewitnesses, the two people killed in the strike were inside a vehicle which was targeted. The strike occurred in the Mata Sangar area of Kurram.

Mata Sangar, a hamlet, lies near Ghuzgarhi, south of Parachinar.

On December 18, a US drone had fired a missile at a compound in the same area. The missile had been fired at the compound at around 9pm, but no casualty was reported.

Last month, three suspected militants were killed in another drone strike targeting a militant compound in Afghanistan's Paktia province near the Pak-Afghan border.

Drone strikes have surged in Kurram in the wake of US President Donald Trump’s announcement of a new Afghan policy in August, in which Pakistan was also accused of offering “safe havens to agents of chaos”.

PESHAWAR: At least two people, including a Haqqani militant network commander, were killed after a suspected US unmanned aircraft struck a vehicle on the Pakistan-Afghanistan border near Kurram Agency, officials said.

Initial reports suggest there were at least four people in the vehicle when it was targeted.

Sources said Haqqani commander Jumma Khan and his aide were killed in the attack.

Four killed as suspected US drone targets Haqqani militants in Pakistan

It was not immediately clear if the area was in Pakistani territory, an official, on condition of anonymity, said, adding that names and exact number of casualties could not be officially confirmed as yet.

Last month, a suspected US drone strike targeted a hideout of the Haqqani militant network in the same area, killing four people.

Why is Dawn news reporting this Drone strike after every 4 day with a fresh date?

.
Is the strike inside Pakistan, inside Afghanistan or the border region?

This attack was in Afghanistan. PAF chief assured anything crossing into Pak airspace will be shot down like US helicopters in Abottabad.

@LeGenD
That remains to be seen whether or not what the PAF chief said can be taken at its face value or not however believe me i share the same frustration as you do. Having said that we should be honest with ourselves. I do not believe the lack of will to shoot down a US drone is on PAF part however both PAF or the army cannot take a unilateral decision without the backing of the government which we knew at the time was of Asif Zardari and now its the Noone Toon. I do wonder on who's backing this time did the PAF issued such a blunt warning.

.
the drone must have struck in Afghanistani side.

.
Who is going to acknowledge the drone attack anyway ! Like i said earlier PAF would not acknowledge any attack inside Pakistan..

. . .
I thought Orders were to shoot down the Drones ? Pehla Pala maaf ?:partay:
