1965 Indo-Pak War chronicles: Maj. Gen. G. D. Bakshi speaks

Please check who raised the point, and address that person about this. Thank you.

Valid point, however .........

I tried answering directly to the person who raised the question about validity of that member's statement.

Was there any need for me to address that member when I find myself in agreement to what he posted? No sir there wasn't.

. . . .
Would someone - anyone - answer my questions, please?
Sir, History is deluded and would take revenge from both parties since we both hear and read our own versions so don't expect anything else but bigotry.
History tells us lessons, don't repeat mistakes but in this subcontinent we distort it very well.

Jumma Mubarak, have nice day Sir.
Regards.

And now if you ask me who I am and which side I am talking....

Bullah ki janey mien koun?

Which part in particular, Sir? Time the guy was nailed.
Of Panic and Cowardice..

We know who almost lost Panjab to Pak.

104s were useless.
and Sabres were from late 40s.

And Afghanistan had attacked Pak ib both 50s and 60s.

Now I am confused.

Sending in commandos into Indian Jammu & Kashmir was what? A peaceful satyagraha?

Second, what was the armoured attack launched by 12th Divi? Not war?

How would I know? You're the one who said he didn't die. You obviously know all about him.
Before that you were meddling and attacking ran of kutch.

I had hoped for some responses specific to the presentation by General Bakshi. Touching on your own comments,
  • I do not know who almost lost Punjab to Pakistan, unless you are referring to the different outlooks of the COAS, General Chaudhuri, and his GOC-in-C, General Harbaksh Singh; what that had to do with General Bakshi's presentation is not clear to me
  • I thought the Starfighters were the best aircraft in either country's line-up
  • Sabres were from the late 40s; so were Hawker Hunters, and the Gnat, that Sajjad Haider claims was not much good, from the 50s.
  • The point about the Afghan attacks on Pakistan is not very clear.
If you are interested in analysing General Bakshi's remarks and uncovering the flaws in them, I am interested in taking the discussion forward. Unemotionally, clinically. But only if....

Heh. That moustache would hide anyone....Adolf Hitler, Elvis Presley, Michael Jackson...
