There is a solid reason why some Officers cannot be promoted above Maj general like Bakshi while other Generals become commanders of Army like Raheel Shareef. If Maj Gen Bakshi's military background is read, its filled with praises and awards, but the reality is, he was asked to go home without being fit to become Lt Gen and General.

After retirement, while Bakshi sits in videos and commands only his words, General Raheel Shareef's command has expanded internationally, leading troops of 39 countries.

I've never liked Bakshi, especially in his role as chief whip to Arnab Goswami's master of the hunt. But when I looked at the first three minutes of the video (I didn't go through the rest), he mentioned:

• India's loss to China in 1962
• Pakistan's superior military organisation
  • Better armoured forces - more Pattons, opposed by outdated Centurions
  • Incomparably better artillery
  • Better air force planes - Starfighters and Sabres vs. MiG 21s in the process of induction, along with a melange of Hawker Hunters
  • Stationing a significant part of the Army and the Air Force against the Chinese, not against the Pakistanis

As I mentioned, I didn't listen to all of it.

But of what I heard, wasn't this correct? What was false about it?

Gen Sharif's brother died in battle too. If Maj Gen Bakshi can't respect that, I'd rather stop listening to him. Anyway, he is more of a warmonger than a gentleman officer. And it's not like we've lost a war to seek revenge from Pak.
