150 million tourists visited Xinjiang in 2018 , a whopping over 40% increase

URUMQI, Jan. 15 (Xinhua) -- The number of tourists to northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region exceeded 150 million last year, up more than 40 percent.

Xinjiang aims to achieve another 40-percent growth for both tourist numbers and income in 2019, making tourism a pillar industry and major source of income for local people, said Shohrat Zakir, chairman of the Xinjiang regional government.

The region's government work report has vowed to build Xinjiang into a key area for tourism and a popular destination worldwide.

Xinjiang's population is 24 million, half Muslims and half non Muslims, 150 million visitors are many times of the regions local population and now this year Xinjiang expects over 200 million visitors, 10 times the size of local population, that's really mind blowing..

How many times you have to post this same video, he planned and was hell bent to find dirt and looked around to find one, that's the whole purpose for him to make the video, Vlogs are average travelers experience without any political agenda, just share of first hand traveling experience.

Western media often make some video reports which they interviewed selected "activists" and some social grivances made by some people they found in China and those videos give people a false impression that every Chinese hates the Chinese government and all Chinese has strong grivances against the government, but the truth is quite the opposite.

I prefer averge travelers vlogs who don't have any agenda , people just go to a place and experience the place, the culture and local cuisines, that's more of an authentic picture of the region.
