Interestingly why a parade pass out at night?
I dont think its too hot in day time. Visibility would be much better in day time.
Unless this parade ends up with big firework shows.

i personally have no idea why night time is chosen for this

The Sort who find it a good exercise to practice coordinated Night flying in the process. There was a nice write as to how these flypasts are also essentially excellent mission rehearsals. These aircraft fly in from their respective home bases and plan their flights accordingly to arrive precisely at the same time over an area.. just as they would in an actual strike mission.

It is a VERY risky endeavour though with aircraft operating in such closed airspace, but essentially it is also very real in terms of what a night strike package would have to do.

Very well put, apart from that it's the hour Pakistan became an independant nation.......bar the flypast, the parade in the past, had been held at midnight at the PMA.

I've heard the blue area stretch is blocked off, besides there is the metro fuss. Centaurus wala ilaqa khula hai?

I am planning to go to the ground opposite McDonalds if all else is blocked.

iFORCEWarfare Update AUG/13/14 - The parade is organized for the VVIP's and foreigners. It will be held at the Parliament courtyard around 10:30PM-PK Time. There will be no movement of military hardware on the ground i.e. Tanks, Artillery, Missile Carriers etc. There is no place for movement because of the Metro project and the security situation (Long-March).

There will only be a fly-past in which aviation helicopters, fighter jets will take part. According to our information, the fly-past will be held tonight August 13th (night) and on the 14th August (day), 2014; Jets will also fire flares but only when they reach the parliament.

Defined path for the fly-past is Centaurus Islamabad straight from the west and patrol over Jinnah Avenue towards D-Chowk. You can easily see a thrilling fly-past with roaring sound of jets and aviation helicopters on the mentioned path.

A beautiful parade, only to be hampered due to lack of human eyes visibility range in night.
Not sure how many villages will leave in blackout when electricity is directed to independence day function.
India also got independence in midnight, but thankfully the celebration is done on 15th morning. Where a majority of people can participate and view.
