Unveiled at the ongoing Geneva Motor Show, we couldn’t wait a second longer to introduce this hypercar, for the all-new Koenigsegg One:1 could soon claim stake to the fastest production car in the world.
Here’s looking at the auto feat achieved by the Swedish car manufacturer
It’s all in the name. The Koenigsegg One:1 does an unprecedented take by being the world’s first car with the exact power to curb weight ratio (1:1), putting it at a distinct advantage over any other car on the road.
In simple terms, that’s one horsepower for every kilogram which in the case of the Koenigsegg One: 1 equates to 1,360 PS for 1,360 kg.
The world’s first 1:1 drive has been achieved by smart use of the lightweight but durable carbon fibre for the chassis, body and seats, including innovative measures like the use of 3D printing for the exhaust end piece which is made out of a lighter titanium instead of the conventional aluminium.
The hypercar is powered by a mid-mounted 5-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine that delivers 1,000 KW, and can take the drive from 0-400 km/h in just 20 seconds to max out at 273 mph; it will beat the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport (267 mph) and Hennessey Venom GT (265 mph) if it delivers.
The Koenigsegg One: 1 is a limited-to-six edition, unfortunately each one has already been spoken for. But honestly, who wouldn’t want this car price be damned?
