In general, money and a good life makes people less bigoted, less prone to violence and more don't-carish. I guess thats what's happening in China these days.
Lets just agree that what happened was terrible, but let us stop calling it 'pogrom, genocide' and such stuff. It was a terrible communal riot in which several people from both communities died.

My guess is that the CIA and others are trying intense backchannel negotiations with Iran regime, and I won't be surprised if they become best friends soon, and if companies like GE start building nuclear reactors in Iran!

Exactly. I have heard horror stories from many Pandits. And when all this insurgency started and the Pandits were driven out of the valley, the same people who drove them out started whining when they were given a fitting reply by security forces.
GoI needs to allow private participation in defence industries. That way we'll build an efficient military industrial complex of our own, which is something we badly need. That is the only way we'll have quality and quantity, both.
Exactly. There have been HUGE changes in India in this decade, and no one would have thought in 2000 that India will achieve so much in a decade. One more decade should pretty much show em'.
